One Direction star, Liam Payne, tragically died last week after falling from the third floor suite of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina
A number of shocking claims have been made about Liam Payne’s final hours after his devastating death.
The One Direction star left his legion of loyal fans bereft last week when he fell from the third floor suite of the Casa Sur Hotel in Argentina, aged 31, with police describing his injuries as “incompatible with life”.
Liam had been in Buenos Aires to watch his bandmate, Niall Horan, perform and appeared to be in good spirits when he was smiling with fans in South America. However, on Wednesday evening the world was stunned when the star’s death was announced.
Following a toxicology report, which revealed the presence of a class-A drug in Liam’s system, a number of dramatic claims about the star’s last hours have been made, including that the much-loved dad-of-one was preyed on by drug dealers..
Preyed on by drug dealers
Liam’s friend has claimed he had been targeted by dealers, who allegedly delivered drugs to his hotel room after he had been clean for weeks.
His pal told Mail Online that Liam had previously been in rehab in both the UK and California and had recently been taken on by a new psychiatrist in Florida, who was guiding him on the road to recovery.
“He went to Argentina to renew his USA visa where he had to undergo medical examination because of his history with alcohol and drugs,” the source said. “The results of the tests were good. Liam was 100 per cent sober. But when he checked in at the hotel, at some point someone there started giving him drugs.”
They added that Liam had been trying really hard to stay clean but claimed “they preyed on him,” saying those involved only cared about money and not the star’s health.
Drugs smuggled to Liam in Dove soap box
Two members of staff at the Casa Sur Hotel are said to be under investigation following Liam’s death. According to the outlet, a cleaner and another member of staff at the hotel had reportedly hid drugs in a Dove soap box, which has since been found by police.
It was reported that white powder residue, crystals, tablets and other forms of drug paraphernalia, were noticed in Liam’s suite. Investigators looking into the star’s tragic death are also said to be checking potential links to VIP drug dealers, according to reports.
Class-A drug in body at time of death
Liam had traces of cocaine in his body, forensic experts have discovered according to Argentine media reports. News portal, Infobae, said materials extracted from the singer’s body in an autopsy following his death last Wednesday had “determined the presence of the class-A drug.”
However, it said police tests on a white powder found in his hotel room had so far proved “inconclusive”. It reported the result of a second test using chromatography, a powerful analytical separation technique, on that powder were pending.
Pink cocaine
Materials extracted from the star’s body in an autopsy following his death on Wednesday had “determined the presence of the class-A drug”, according to respected news portal Infobae. ABC News claimed that among those substances was “pink cocaine”, which contains a lethal mixture of drugs including MDMA, ketamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack.
Pink cocaine has gained popularity across Latin America’s party scene as a hallucinogenic drug that can create an altered sense of reality. It contains a mixture of synthetic substances, including MDMA (ecstasy), ketamine, and amphetamines, while some variations contain LSD, mescaline, and opioids like fentanyl.

‘Hearing voices’
Lamar Odom says Liam could have been hearing voices from the drugs he had taken. The former basketball player has recalled his own experiences with drugs after it has been reported that the One Direction star had taken pink cocaine. The toxicology report which comes after Liam’s death last week showed that he had the drug in his system, which contains a mix of Class A drugs.
Lamar has said that the drugs may have made Liam hallucinate, which may have led to his death. The ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian said that when he used drugs himself he would hear voices. He told TMZ: “Drug can cause you to hallucinate and if he was in a hallucination state then who knows what happened.” Lamar is a recovering addict, who owns Odom Recovery Group.
Partying with escorts
Just hours before he fell from his Buenos Aires Hotel balcony, Liam contacted two women through an Argentine website, which has raised questions about the personal struggles he was facing in the days leading up to his death. Gemidos is well-known in Argentina, a portal where hundreds of women across the country offer companionship with photos and detailed descriptions.
Upon arrival, both women were required to submit their identification at the front desk. Though they had never met each other before, Lucile and Aldana were escorted up to Liam’s 310 room. When the former One Direction star opened the door, he appeared calm, greeting them with a smile.
Inside the room, the atmosphere was reportedly relaxed. The singer offered the women alcohol – champagne for them and a bottle of scotch for himself. According to their testimonies to police, no drugs were consumed. The room was scattered with half-drunk glasses, evidence of the brief companionship the three shared.
In their statements, both women denied any involvement in Liam’s death, stating that they had spent a short amount of time with him, drank alcohol, and left when an issue of payment arose. Neither woman admitted to having had sex with him, skirting around the subject during questioning. Despite their evasiveness, Prosecutor Roma believes their accounts and does not consider them suspects.
