Three people have been charged in relation to the death of Liam Payne after the late singer tragically fell from the balcony of his third floor hotel in Argentina

Three people have been charged following the death of Liam Payne.

The late One Direction singer fell to his death aged 31, having fell from the balcony of his third floor hotel room at the CasaSur Palermo in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It later emerged following his fall on October 16 this year that Liam died from multiple traumas leading to an “internal and external haemorrhage”.

A toxicology report stated that Liam had anti-depressants and cocaine in his system at the time of his death – despite having been clean from drugs just days before. But in the weeks after his death, three people are currently under investigation as local police forces attempt to get to the bottom of how Liam was in possession of illegal substances. However, it’s since been claimed that Liam had asked a hotel employee to secure “seven grams” of “cocaine” prior to his death.

It’s claimed that Class A drugs were smuggled to Liam’s hotel room, disguised in a Dove soap box. Hotel staff have since stated that only employees have access to the location where the soap supplies are held. One of those charged, is said to be Liam’s friend Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores, who was with Liam on a daily basis.

Nores also attended a sold-out Niall Horan concert with Liam and his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy during their Latin American getaway. However, Nores refutes the allegations that he abandoned the late singer.

According to a statement from the the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office, one of those charged is the individual who “accompanied the artist on a daily basis during his stay in the city of Buenos Aires”. That person is “charged with the crimes of abandonment of a person followed by death – contemplated in article 106 of the Penal Code and which provides for a prison sentence of 5 to 15 years -, as perpetrator, in ideal concurrence with the supply and facilitation of narcotics (art. 5 inc. e) of Law 23.737 on Narcotics).” The second person is a hotel employee, with them being charged with “two proven supplies of cocaine to Liam Payne during the period he was at the hotel”. And the third person, who is also a supplier of narcotics, is “charged with two other clearly proven supplies at two different times on 14 October.”

“Both were charged with the offence of supplying narcotics, two acts each (art. 5 inc. e) of Law 23.737),” the statement said of the second and third person. Liam’s friend, Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores, has previously identified himself as the main charged with abandonment but vehemently refutes the allegations.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, he denied claims he was under investigation connected to Liam’s death. He declared: “I never abandoned Liam, I went to his hotel three times that day and left 40 minutes before this happened.” Nores went on to say that he had given a statement to police as a “witness” on October 17. He later claimed he hadn’t spoken to “any police officer or prosecutor ever since.”

A statement from the office of prosecutor Andres Esteban Madrea stated: “Liam Payne was not fully conscious or was experiencing a state of noticeable decrease or loss of consciousness at the time of the fall.” A hotel employee is also accused of supplying Liam with cocaine twice while he stayed at the hotel, the statement said. And third person is accused of supplying drugs to the singer twice during his stay on October 14.

The prosecutor’s office added it had heard a string of testimonies and analysed hundreds of hours of CCTV footage in connection with the investigation. And they said a “forensic extraction” had been carried out on Liam’s mobile phone, which involved trawls of his calls, messages and social media accounts.

Since his death, Liam’s Rolex watch estimated to be worth around £33,000 has vanished, He was seen wearing it on the day of his death, although it was not on his arm when he fell. A detective involved in the case said: “We know, from images that were analysed, that Payne was wearing a Rolex on the day of his death. He was wearing it on one of his hands and he had it for at least two to three hours before he (died).

“We looked for it in the room at the CasaSur hotel where he was staying and we couldn’t find it.” The watch, a gold Rolex, was believed to be worth approximately $45,000 (£33,000). Law enforcement officers subsequently searched the homes of several people known to have associated with Liam on the day of his passing. By order of the court, the room was closed and no one was able to enter. The most urgent thing was to look for the watch in the homes of the people with whom Payne had contact before he died.”

Another search at the homes of those linked to Payne failed to locate the watch. A search of the homes of two prostitutes who were allegedly with Payne in the lead up to his death also failed to find the item. Braian Nahuel Paiz, 24, who is suspected of being Liam’s ‘dealer’ in the ongoing prosecution probe – claims he denies. Braian, who met Liam for the first time at the restaurant where he worked, has since made a number of bombshell claims.

Speaking on local TV, he claims that he never supplied Liam with any drugs and refused to take money from him. Opening up about his time with the father-of-one, who he claimed he met twice in his hotel, he protested: “I never supplied Liam with drugs. Liam’s first contact with me was at my place of work. We swapped details and saw each other later that night. It was all normal. He came down from his hotel room to fetch me because I had got lost.”

Braian claims the second time he met Liam, on October 13, they spent the night together while the singer consumed cocaine and he smoked marijuana. He said: “We took drugs together, but I never took drugs to him or accepted any money.” He added: “We consumed drugs because the truth is that something intimate happened. I stayed there all night… He wasn’t aggressive at all, he behaved really well with me, he was really sweet. He asked me if I was okay. I’ve got all the messages where we arranged that second meeting. I haven’t erased anything.”

Claiming he had no idea who the other two suspects were, Braian said he was confused when he saw photos from the singer’s hotel room the day he died. He added: “When I saw the photos of the inside of Liam’s hotel room nothing made any sense to me. The Dove soap packet was there when I was in the hotel but I couldn’t understand what it was for or the candles or the glass of water.”
