The ongoing case of rapper MO3’s murder has emerged as Kewon White, one of the accused, was allegedly seen in a live video declaring, “I’ll be home soon.” This statement has fueled discussions around the case, which has already seen new developments with the recent indictment of rapper Yella Beezy.
Kewon White, who is currently serving an eight-year sentence for firearm-related charges, reportedly made this claim in a live video circulating online. White was charged in connection with MO3’s 2020 murder and has been linked to the crime through phone records and location data.
Despite his conviction on separate charges, White’s latest comments suggest he believes his time behind bars is ending. Whether this is due to legal maneuvers, potential appeals, or parole eligibility remains unclear.
The case took a significant turn when Dallas rapper Yella Beezy, whose real name is Markies Conway, was indicted on March 18, 2025, for capital murder in MO3’s death. Prosecutors allege Beezy hired a hitman to carry out the killing, leading to his arrest on March 20. He remains in jail on a $2 million bond.
Yella Beezy, 32, has had a successful career in the hip-hop industry, best known for hits like “That’s On Me.” However, legal troubles have followed him, with past arrests for firearm possession and other charges. The latest indictment has shocked fans and the music community, as many believed the investigation had reached a standstill.
White was arrested in December 2020 and later sentenced on unrelated gun charges. However, investigators found strong evidence tying him to the murder of MO3, whose real name was Melvin Noble. Authorities traced phone records showing frequent calls between White and co-defendant Devin Brown before the murder.
Further, White’s location data allegedly placed him near MO3’s residence the night before the murder and at the crime scene on November 11, 2020. While he denied knowing Brown, police linked both men through multiple sources.
Devin Brown, 32, also faces serious legal trouble with the case. In addition to murder charges, he was indicted on federal counts of illegal firearm possession and drug distribution. Police discovered a stolen AK-47, drugs, and cash in his home during a raid.
Investigators believe Brown played a significant role in MO3’s murder, possibly acting on jealousy after learning about a romantic connection between the rapper and someone close to him. Brown has denied involvement in the murder despite overwhelming evidence.
Federal inmates are under strict limits on correspondence with the world outside, and live video is not common. If White’s video of making his accusation is authentic, it would question how he was able to obtain equipment to broadcast.
Some are speculating that White is optimistic about appealing or being granted parole, given that he has several years left on his sentence. Others suspect that the video is doctored or old. Law enforcement authorities haven’t confirmed the video’s authenticity or whether White is up against any other penalties for his statement.
