Karoline Leavitt is facing backlash after her time on Fox News, where she said a deceased firefighter would be in attendance for Donald Trump’s address to Congress during her broadcast.
The embarrassing moment came while she was discussing the guest list for tonight’s event, claiming that the late Corey Comperatore would be there. “The guest list that Melania Trump put together, and that the president put together, is phenomenal.
“There will be every day American heroes in attendance…you have Corey Comperatore, who lost his life protecting his family in Butler, Pennsylvania,” she continued, referring to the assassination attempt of President Trump during a campaign stop in the swing state of PA.
“You’ll also have an auto worker, you’ll have a steel worker, and you will see exceptional Americans with great stories. President Trump will be telling their stories tonight,” she claimed.
