“What? Did you think I was gonna say my biggest fear is one day having to explain to my baby that I was married to another man when they were conceived?”

Jasmine Pineda of 90 Day Fiance took to social media recently to reveal her biggest fear about being pregnant, while insisting that her concerns have nothing to do with her body changing. 

As The Ashley previously reported, Jasmine is currently expecting her third child– her first with Matt Branistareanu. After more than a month of speculation from fans online, Jasmine confirmed in mid-February that she and Matt were expecting, despite the fact that she is still married to husband Gino Palazzolo.

While Jasmine appeared very happy to reveal her “very special news” to the public last month, her pregnancy announcement was met with some criticism from “90 Day Fiance” fans who took issue with Jasmine having a baby with someone in the United States, when her two sons from a previous relationship remain in Panama. 

This week, Jasmine took to TikTok Live to reveal her biggest concern about welcoming another baby, while mentioning her youngest son, JC, whom she tends to keep off of social media, unlike her older son, Juance. 

“My biggest fear about having a baby is the fact that my son JC is special needs and it’s a common condition in my family,” Jasmine stated in the video, before going on to reveal that she also has two nephews who “have the same condition.” 

“So, it’s something running in my blood side, OK? That’s why [I’m fearful],” she continued. 

Jasmine clarified during the Live that she has never expressed any concerns about her “body changing” as a result of pregnancy, despite some critics accusing her of making such comments on “90 Day Fiance.”

“Much like our sex life, I’m gonna sit this one out, Jasmine.”

“I was concerned about having a baby with special needs,” she said, noting that she made this clear during one of her appearances on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After. 

Jasmine was referring to a conversation she and Gino had on Season 8 of ‘Happily Ever After,’ during which she explained to Gino several times that she didn’t want to have another baby, citing her pregnancy with JC and fertility issues she had allegedly experienced. 

During the episode, Jasmine also spoke about JC, who is now 13 years-old, having difficulty with verbal communication and the challenges she faced while raising him, telling Gino she feared that if she were to have another child, the experience would be similar.  

“He doesn’t have a verbal language,” Jasmine said of JC during Season 8. “But what makes it difficult to have a child with special needs is not the child. It’s the people. It’s very hard, it’s not easy.

“I’m glad that sometimes my son doesn’t realize what’s going on but me as a mom, I do,” she said. “If we go to a restaurant and he’s not behaving as a neurotypical kid, you have the stares, you have the ugly looks. You have, even the staff from the restaurant, you know? And it hurts me a lot. I don’t know if I will have the strength to go through this.”

After Jasmine announced her pregnancy last month, fans slammed her for having another baby while her existing two kids were in Panama. (Juance lives with his father, while JC lives with Jasmine’s mother. Jasmine left them in 2023 to come to the United States to marry Gino.)

Jasmine ensured fans last month that bringing her two sons to America is still very much in her plans.

“I recently got the resources I need to get an immigration lawyer and bring them to America,” Jasmine wrote on Instagram. “The fact that I’m not a citizen (plus they weren’t included in my visa petition) is making things very hard (that plus the current political situation — which might favor or not this kind of process).”

Jasmine added that she would immediately return to Panama if her sons’ visa applications were rejected.

“I won’t live in America anymore. I can’t give any more details besides this because of contractual obligations,” she said.
