One Direction star, Liam Payne, tragically died on Wednesday October 16 after falling from the third floor of his hotel suite in Argentina, leaving his legion of loyal fans heartbroken

Liam Payne’s heart-wrenching last wish has been revealed after his devastating death last week.

The One Direction star left his legion of loyal fans bereft when he fell from the third floor of his hotel suite in Buenos Aires, Argentina, aged 31.

Since the tragic news, details of Liam’s last hours in South America have been emerging, including his heartbreaking final wish. Liam reportedly told a fan just over an hour before his death he loved Buenos Aires so much he wanted to buy a house there.

Diana Gauna met and chatted to her idol in the musician’s boutique city centre hotel lobby around 3pm last Wednesday after waiting with friends to catch a glimpse of him.

The ‘Directioner’ broke down in tears as she recalled their last conversation, telling Argentinian TV show TN Central: “Liam looked in good shape, not drunk or aggressive like they’ve been saying on social media. He approached us and spent quite a bit of time talking to us and telling us about his experiences in Buenos Aires, the places he’d been to and where he wanted to go. He said he loved the city and would like to buy a home here, that he loved the countryside around Buenos Aires.”

She added: “Liam also told us during the conversation that he’d been to the countryside with his girlfriend, that on Sunday morning about 7am they’d gone out running together. He told us he was really enjoying Buenos Aires.”

Diana claims she was still in the CasaSur Palermo Hotel when she “began to see strange movements and a police patrol car and fire engine turned up”. Admitting she was shocked to find out the father-of-one had been found dead, she said: “I never thought it was Liam because I had seen him just over an hour earlier and he seemed okay.”

Breaking down in tears as she recalled the heartbreaking realisation, she continued: “Finding out someone is dead that you’ve just seen was really shocking. He was my idol. Liam spoke a lot about mental health and in his songs told us we are never alone. This is all very hard. As fans we are in a lot of pain.”

Prosecutors said last week they had found no evidence pointing to any third-party involvement in the incident that led to Liam’s death, but revealed they were continuing to investigate.

According to Argentine media reports, the star had traces of cocaine in his body, forensic experts have discovered. News portal Infobae said materials extracted from the singer’s body in an autopsy following his death last Wednesday had “determined the presence of the class-A drug.”

ABC News claims that the substances included “pink cocaine,” which is a mixture of several drugs including MDMA, ketamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack.

Now, Liam’s heartbroken dad, Geoff, who flew out to Argentina hours after his son’s death has vowed to remain with him until he is able to return to the United Kingdom. Prosecutor Andrés Esteban Madrea, the lead investigator into Liam’s death has warned Geoff that it could be ten days until the examination results are confirmed and he is unable to bring Liam back to the UK before this.
