I’m a Celeb viewers said that Maura and Danny had ‘insane chemistry’ on the show
As the furore around Danny Jones and Maura Higgins’ BRITS kiss continues, neither has yet addressed it publicly – but a source claims they stayed in contact after I’m A Celeb
As the Danny Jones and Maura Higgins saga continues following their drunken kiss at a BRIT Awards after party, a source has claimed that the under-fire pair ‘kept in touch’ following their stint in the Australian jungle last year.
Former Love Island star Maura, 34, and McFly singer Danny, 38, became friends after joining the most recent series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and stayed connected on Instagram since the show ended last December. And now, following what appeared to be a kiss at a star-studded Universal party in London following the BRIT Awards, a source has claimed that the pair remained in touch with each other after their stint Down Under.

They told MailOnline: “Maura had kept in touch with Danny since I’m A Celeb. The majority of the cast have kept in contact, but Maura had been complimentary towards Danny. Maura is friendly with everyone but, still, Danny is married and therefore the tone could be deemed inappropriate.”
The source also told the publication how the former campmates’ reunion at the Universal party, at 180 Studios on The Strand, was pre-planned, as they partied the night away with fellow jungle companions including Oti Mabuse, 34.
Danny, who it has emerged also ‘liked’ a sexy Instagram picture of influencer Maura before their now notorious ‘drunken kiss’, while Maura has also liked several of Danny’s posts this year, has been married to his wife Georgia Horsley, a former Miss World, since 2014 after the two in 2009 at a Miss London event and they share son Cooper, 7.
A source, meanwhile, told the Mirror that Georgia is “struggling” in the wake of the scandal, feels “humiliated” and is focused on ‘protecting her son’ right now. She was due to appear in public today, Saturday (7 March) alongside her Mum’s the Word podcast co-host and pal Kelsey Parker at the Baby Show at London’s Excel. But the source claims that the mum of one is having a tough time and will not be appearing at the event.

The insider added that Georgia is also keen to shield the couple’s seven-year-old son Cooper from the very public fallout. “Georgia is struggling at the moment. She isn’t just having to navigate the circumstances, but doing it publicly.
“She has been humiliated. People are quick to forget there is a child in the middle of this mess”, they claimed. “Georgia is putting her focus into their son, Cooper. For now, Georgia will not be participating in any work commitments, including The Baby Show, and any podcast filming.”
