Just about everything has been said and reported about Prince Harry‘s fallout with the British Royal Family. Along with wife Meghan Markle, the couple decided to step down from royal duties right before COVID struck in early 2020. Since then, Harry and Meghan have been the subjects of plenty of criticism, and their decision continues to affect Harry’s relationship with his family.
By most accounts, Harry and brother Prince William are not even on speaking terms at the moment. As for father King Charles, the two continue to be relatively estranged. Harry has only made a few trips back to the UK since his decision to step down, one of which was to visit Charles following his cancer diagnosis. There’s still a lot of work to be done to mend the relationship, and Harry knows it.

Given the precarious situation between the Prince and the Royal Family, many believe there’s something to be read into Harry’s recent public comments. Harry visited Vancouver during the 111th Grey Cup, and gave an interview to TSN to talk about the upcoming Invictus Games.
We’ve now got 25 nations, growing all the time. It’s really an opportunity for the individuals themselves and their families to heal and rehabilitate through sport.

Harry was talking about the families of the participants, who have had to deal with traumatic injuries and situations. But many have taken it as a sort of subliminal message about his own family drama.
The 2025 edition of the Invictus Games will be held in Vancouver, which is why Harry made an appearance there, to promote it. It’s scheduled to be held from February 6 to February 17
