Producer and singer Sam Pounds has shared an unseen video of Liam Payne in the studio singing along to his unreleased track that will be shared with fans on Friday

A clip of Liam Payne performing an unreleased song has left fans in tears following his tragic death.

The former One Direction star died in Argentina on October 16 at the age of 31 after a fatal fall from a hotel balcony in the country’s capital, Buenos Aires. An investigation into the dad-of-one’s final hours is still ongoing. The Argentine prosecutor’s office confirmed Liam’s cause of death was due to multiple traumas and internal and external bleeding.

Almost two weeks since his passing, Grammy-winning producer and singer Sam Pounds has released a video of Liam recording music. In tribute to the late singer, Sam has announced the song they had been working on together will be released on Friday. He also shared a clip of them both in the studio, which showed Liam visibly pleased with their work.

Alongside the video, Sam wrote: “Yea I see the reports but I knew your heart || Filmed by Ruth || Liam Payne originally wanted us & Chris Brown on this. A musical moment & tribute to Liam Payne Do No Wrong (unreleased) written by Ruth [Liam’s Sister], Liam Payne, Sam Pounds.”

In the clip, Liam could be seen dancing and singling along to the track Sam was playing back. Sam then said to the camera: “Chris we need you.” Liam added: “It’s there Chris, it is there. It is ready to go.” They then started laughing as Sam quipped: “That was so good.”

Sam confirmed the track titled Do No Wrong will be released this week. He wrote: “I pray that this will be a blessing to the world like Liam has always dreamed. I pray angels will comfort you all everyday while listening. I pray that this song will be a blessing to Ruth, Bear, and the entire family. I pray that this song eclipses the negative echoes. I pray supernatural positive healing power will embrace each and every one of you… With love let’s all BE the blessing.”

The single will be available in three forms: the original, a live mix and an a cappella version. Fans became emotional when seeing Liam in the studio clip as one said: “The involvement of his sister Ruth makes this song even more special. Moments like these show the deep connections and collaborations that shaped Liam’s career.”

Another added: “Such a good vibe and great sounding. I just can’t believe you are gone Liam. This could be such a hit. For you we will do our best in return to make this on chart. Rest in Peace Liam.” Someone else commented: “This is so beautiful!” A fourth wrote: “RIP legend Liam Payne.” One fan simply shared: “Miss you,” followed by crying emojis.

Following the tragic news of Liam’s death, One Direction’s five studio albums surged back into the UK top 40 last week. Liam’s former bandmates Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson released a heartfelt statement saying they are “completely devastated” and will miss him immensely, cherishing the “memories we shared with him will be treasured forever”.
