“I Couldn’t Hold Back the Tears” – Nick Hogan’s First Words About His Father Hulk Hogan Left the Internet Sobbing

WWE legend Hulk Hogan passed away earlier this week after suffering a cardiac arrest. His son, Nick, paid tribute with a carousel of pictures and said that he was his best friend

Hulk Hogan’s son Nick has paid tribute to his father in a heartbreaking post, following his death earlier this week.

The WWE Hall of Famer passed away on Thursday, July 24, at his home in Clearwater, Florida. Reports claim that medics were sent to Hulk’s home after getting a call regarding someone suffering an alleged cardiac arrest. Hulk was 71 years old.

Hulk shared two children – daughter, Brooke and son Nick – with ex wife Linda Hogan. Days after Hulk’s death, Nick posted a carousel of pictures of him and Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, and thanked everyone for reaching out during this “overwhelming and extremely difficult” time.

He admitted that “hearing so many kind words and stories” about the WWE wrestler, and their “interactions and experiences” with him have been “incredible and comforting”.

Nick wrote, “My dad was the most incredible person I’ve ever known and will always be my hero. He was the most kind, loving and amazing father anybody could ask for. I feel so blessed to have had the greatest dad in the world. He was not only the best dad but also my mentor and my best friend.”

He continued, “He always has been my best friend and I love him and miss him more than I could ever explain. I thanked him for everything he has ever done for me and told him how much I loved him and hugged him every chance I got. I spent a lot of time with him the past few years after moving back to Florida to be closer to him and I am so grateful for those memories. They are the best moments in my life.”

Nick “would do anything to have him back” but knows that his father will be “watching over him.” The son of the icon said he would remember the “lessons and advice” that was given to him and “carry on in a way” that would make Hulk Hogan proud.

He concluded, “Thank you for being the best dad in the world and thank you for being my best friend. I love you so much Big Dog and I will miss you forever.”

The first picture on the post was of Nick and Hulk Hogan holding hand backstage during a WWE airing with the two wearing Hulk Hogan’s merch. The late wrestler wore the iconic “Hulkamania” bandana with a “WHAT CHA GONNA DO?!?” shirt, with a young Nick wearing a “Hulkamania” shirt and red hat.

The rest of the pictures showed memories of the two on a plane, Hulk Hogan supporting his son during his DJ set, the two at the gym, outside Madison Square Garden, and more.

The two had their ups and down but it seems like the two rekindled their relationship. On Fathers Day, Nick posted a picture oh him and his father and expressed how they celebrated the holiday.
