Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s life in Montecito is explored in a new documentary coming out next week and one of their neighbours has got one thing to say.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have allegedly ‘isolated themselves’ in Montecito
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s neighbour in Montecito has opened up about what the couple are really like in their everyday lives.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the glitzy down in Santa Barbara, California, after they left the Royal Family in 2020 and moved to the US.
Since then, they have settled in their luxury mansion, where they reside with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
However, one of their neighbours, author Richard Mineards, who’s previously spoken about the couple’s life in the area, claimed Harry and Meghan do not get up to much in Montecito, being barely seen in the town.
Speaking to German journalist and filmmaker Ulrike Grunewald for her new documentary on the Sussex couple that’s set to be released next week, Mr Mineards said: “Sometimes you will see her at the farmers’ market or with a dog, but generally, you don’t see her, and you just don’t see much of him.

“It’s a shame. This is a lovely place.”
Ms Grunewald spoke to the Daily Mail and revealed that her research led her to conclude that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have “isolated themselves” as they “rarely” take part in activities in the area.
She said: “On average, the millionaires and billionaires who move here pay eight to nine million euros for a house.
“The cultural life is very lively, but everything often takes place in closed circles and Harry and Meghan rarely take part in these activities.
“They seem to have isolated themselves a lot.”
Despite the latest claims the duke and duchess are known to have ventured out in their area before, with Harry being part of polo team Los Padres with his friend, model and polo player Nacho Figueras.
Harry is known to train at the Santa Barbara Polo Club, which is located close to his home.
