Grimes and Elon Musk share three children, and she publicly accused the father of ‘ignoring’ her messages that one of them was at risk of a ‘life-long impairment’

Musician Grimes accused Elon Musk of putting one of their children as risk of a “life-long impairment” on Thursday, and fans were concerned after her posts on the subject mysteriously disappeared.

The singer took to Musk’s platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to make a public plea that their child needed medical attention, but her Tweets quickly became unavailable. Grimes and Musk share three children: X Æ A-12, four; Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, three; and Techno Mechanicus, two — and it’s unclear which of the kids her concern was about.

Grimes begged Musk to speak to her so they could get help, writing in her first post: “Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly but it’s no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention. If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon.”

One fan disagreed with Grimes’ choice to make the plea publicly, but the star explained that it felt like her only option in the urgent situation. “I’m not giving any details but he won’t respond to texts call or emails and has skipped every meeting and our child will suffer life long impairment if he doesn’t respond asap, so I need him to f**king respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we are at,” she wrote.

Fans soon noticed that Grimes’ Tweets had disappeared, and accused Musk of deleting them so that he wouldn’t seem like a “deadbeat dad” – but Grimes explained that she thought she’d been shadow-banned (meaning her posts were being hidden from people’s algorithms) and decided to get rid of them herself.

“I am deleting them now because if they’re being shadow banned and not eliciting a response then all it is a media circus at the expense of the kids,” she wrote in explanation.

The singer said she had not choice but to try to publicly call out Musk because he wouldn’t respond to her calls, texts, or emails about their unwell child (

Grimes’ desperate plea to her children’s’ father comes just days after Musk involved their oldest son X in a televised White House conference without informing her.

The young boy played around in the Oval Office while his dad – who works as the co-head of the Department of Government Efficiency – and Donald Trump answered questions. One fan addressed a Tweet to Grimes about the boy, praising: “Lil X was very polite today! You raised him well. He was so cute when he told DJT ‘please forgive me, I need to pee.'”

Grimes made it clear in response that she was unaware of X being with Trump on TV, and didn’t approve of it. “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank you for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh,” she wrote.

Grimes has previously stated that she doesn’t approve of her son being paraded “around like Michael Jackson’s Chimpanzee,” and in January stated: “I have made it clear I do not approve of that in every conceivable way I know how. I am desperate to solve it. It is a personal tragedy to me. But currently I don’t know how to do that.”
