Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are pulling out all the stops to make this Christmas special for their daughter, Khai. The couple, who are focused on co-parenting, are embracing new traditions as they prepare for a festive season filled with family and fun.

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have been “scheming hard” to make this Christmas the best yet for their little girl.

The 29-year-old supermodel – who is now dating Hollywood star Bradley Cooper – has four-year-old daughter Khai with the former One Direction star, 31, and she’s opened up about what it’s like co-parenting over the festive period.

She told the London Evening Standard: “Everything’s more special seeing it through her eyes.” Talking about most parents’ least favourite Christmas tradition, she said: “This year, Zayn and I are in cahoots starting Elf on the Shelf.”

Elf on the Shelf sees moms and dads move a little toy elf around the house and create a different scene each day depicting what antics Santa’s Little Helper has been up to. Gigi is set to host a big family gathering on Christmas Eve (24.12.24) at their Pennsylvania farm and admitted she might get into “trouble” for ditching some old traditions.

She said: “For 10 years we’ve done gingerbread house decorating on Christmas Eve, but I might switch it up. I might get into trouble, but I’m the host.” Gigi will be joined by former model mother Yolanda Hadid, 60, and model siblings Bella, 28, and Anwar, 30. She didn’t mention if her new beau, ‘A Star Is Born’ actor Bradley, 49, will be joining them, but she hinted that “we always end up having extra people.”

Looking to 2025, the catwalk beauty vowed to leave “bad energy and people behind”. She said: “I’m not really a New Year’s resolution type gal. I just keep the good things rolling, and leave the bad energy, or people, behind.” Gigi recently reflected that her experience of motherhood has changed her attitude towards her career.

After recently starring in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Gigi admitted that being a mom has changed her attitude towards the event. She told ‘Extra’: “I think also being a mom and just appreciating the time that I get to work and prioritise the jobs that I really want to do … There’s more focus on being present and really taking it all in like what does it smell like, look around, don’t black out at the end of the runway, remember what you’re doing and really be there.”

Back in September, Bella Hadid gave away the status of sister Gigi’s relationship with Zayn as she shared a touching post on Instagram.

The 27-year-old model and actress seemingly revealed her big sister Gigi and Zayn are on good terms despite splitting in 2021, with the former couple clearly on good terms as they co-parent Khai.

She then added a special mention to her niece’s parents writing: “CC @gigihadid x @zayn my favourite collab thank you from the bottom of my heart.” The photo accompanying the text showed her and Khai smiling at one another as they sat on the back of a pick-up truck.
