Gigi Hadid has reportedly extended her support to ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik amid the loss of his former One Direction band member and friend, Liam Payne.
Zayn Malik has reportedly been “offered support” by ex-girlfriend and model Gigi Hadid amid the lost of former One Direction band member and friend, Liam Payne.
Liam fell to his death at his room at CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 16. The three-story plunge resulted in “multiple traumatic injuries” and “internal and external bleeding” that Liam died from. The late 31-year-old also had traces of “alcohol, cocaine and a prescription antidepressant” in his system before his death as confirmed by National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office No. 14. three. Three people have been charged in the investigation of the singer’s death.
“Gigi reached out to Zayn to offer her condolences after Liam’s passing,” a source told Page Six. They continued saying that she “was there to listen and offered her support if Zayn needed anything at all or just wanted to talk.”
On Wednesday, November 20, Liam was laid to rest in one of the Home Counties in England among friends and family. Zayn was there as one of the mourners at the funeral along with his fellow former band members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson.

The Dusk Till Dawn performer recently postponed his two Scotland that were previously November 20 and 21 to December. While Zayn did not disclose the specific reason for the change, the date of the funeral comes to mind. He also in October rescheduled his Stairway to the Sky tour in the United States to 2025 following Liam’s death.
Gigi and Zayn had on-again/off-again relationship from 2015 to 2021. Within the span of their previous six year relationship, they welcomed a daughter in 2020. Their daughter, Khai, recently turned four this past September. Although, the couple had a rocky relationship at times, they appear to be amicable as they coparent their daughter.
The source also said to the outlet that “Gigi and Zayn have had their ups and downs over the years but they’ve come a long way and are on much better terms.”
“Their main focus is on coparenting Khai and they have been able to get along well,” the source continued, mentioning that the former couple spent time together for their daughter’s recent birthday.
