Drake released evidence that Kendrick Lamar’s fiancée had an af:fair with Kendrick’s manager and creative partner: “Stop denying it!”

Kendrick Lamar’s Fiancé Appeared in His Music Video for ‘Not Like Us’ After Drake Implied She Cheated On Him

As one of the most celebrated rappers of his generation, Kendrick Lamar has someone to lean on during all of the successes and hard times. He’s been very faithful to one of his first loves, so who is the lucky lady?

Amid raps about socio-political climates, he also frequently raps about the love of his life. He referenced their meeting in his 2010 song, “She Needs Me.” “Five years later, an accounting major, work at a firm / Abundance of paper, she got a career, she look in the rear / View mirror of a Mercedez that she can steer,” he raps.

Who is Kendrick Lamar’s fiancé?

Kendrick Lamar’s fiancé is Whitney Alford. She’s his high school sweetheart, and they met while they were attending Centennial High School in Compton, Calif. He proposed to her in 2015 during the album cycle of To Pimp a Butterfly.

Whitney has been pivotal in Kendrick’s early career. In an interview with Billboard, he mentioned her as his “day one“ and someone he could be completely vulnerable to. “I wouldn’t even call her my girl,” he says. “That’s my best friend. I don’t even like the term that society has put in the world as far as being a companion — she’s somebody I can tell my fears to.” He rapped about her in Drake’s song “Buried Alive Interlude” in 2021, “The reason why my best friend say she love me more than life / But I live a double life and need to let her go.”

Kendrick has alluded to cheating on Whitney in some of his songs. These songs are mostly in Kendrick’s album Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers. In the song “Mother I Sober,” he raps Insecurities that I project, sleepin’ with other women / Whitney’s hurt, the purest soul I know, I found her in the kitchen / Askin’ God, ‘Where did I lose myself? And can it be forgiven?’” The album cover features their whole family including Whitney, and their two kids daughter Uzi and son Enoch.

She also provides vocals on some of his songs on “King Kunta” and “Father Time.” Drake implied that Whitney had an affair with Kendrick’s manager and creative partner, Dave Free. In a sort of retaliation, she, along with her children, dance in the music video for his follow up diss track “Not Like Us.”

In a rare post, she made a tribute Instagram post to Kendrick on Father’s Day. “In my life I’ve witnessed a great majority of father’s run from their responsibilities,” she wrote. “I now understand that they were running from their own pain but children were left behind. I understand they couldn’t properly communicate with women so kids suffered the consequence of their absence. I understand they needed validation and most times it was sought after outside of the home. And it was quite painful for all of us who knew this upbringing.”

Outside of music, Whitney is the founder of the non-profit Love + Ethos. “Much of my career has encompassed helping women to feel seen, heard, and appreciated. I’ve recently acknowledged how this work comes from a place, deep within my lineage, with generations of women helping women and raising families together,” she said. “The challenge for me has been how to utilize my own opportunities in an impactful way. I hope to be an asset to my community through my work with Love + Ethos.”
