Liam Payne, who was in One Direction, died after falling from the third floor of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is now set to have a “lavish service of remembrance”

Liam Payne’s funeral will feature “a series of song tributes” because the One Direction Star “loved making music until the end,” a source claimed.

A-listers will attend the ceremony for the 31-year-old musician, who shot to fame on The X Factor, several weeks after his death in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Although Liam would have reportedly wanted for the funeral to be “low-key and respectful,” it is understood his family want to add a special touch to reflect his zest for music.

So, there will be “a series of song tributes from some very big acts” at the farewell, believed to take place in Liam’s home city of Wolverhampton, West Midlands. A source said: “His family want to keep his farewell low-key and respectful, as it’s what Liam would have wanted as he was so down to earth. But there are going to be a series of song tributes from some very big acts as he loved singing and making music until the end.”

Speaking to Radar Online, the insider added: “Liam’s funeral is going to be packed with A-listers as he was so well-loved in the showbiz community, and so many of them are so sad about his tragic death.”

Fans have already paid tribute outside St. Peter’s Collegiate Church in central Wolverhampton this week. Flowers and handwritten messages were spotted beside the Lady Wulfrun statue nearby. Residents last month held at candlelit vigil for Liam outside his former school, St Peter’s Collegiate Academy, near the Newbridge area of the city.

Liam was in Argentina, staying in the the Casa Sur hotel, at the time of his death. He is believed to plunged from the third-floor balcony in a cruel twist of fate. Broadcast journalist Paula Varela said: “There is footage that is not being released to the media with the balcony scene where you see that Liam faints and tragically because of where he is, falls from that balcony. If he had been beside his bed he would have fallen on his bed.”

The star was on holiday there for his ex-bandmate Niall Horan’s tour, and saw him perform live on stage. Musician Sam Pounds announced plans to release a duet with Liam called Do No Wrong on Friday, November 1. However, Liam’s posthumous single was postponed.
