Princess Lilibet shares a sweet resemblance with her mother, Meghan Markle, as revealed by Prince Harry during his appearance at the WellChild Awards in London last month.

As reported by Hello! Magazine, the chief content officer (CCO) spoke with the Duke of Sussex as he “chatted animatedly about his children” ahead of the event.

Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon wrote: “Archie and Lili have been blessed with their mother’s thick hair, he told us, self-effacingly, as he marvelled that it won’t be long until Lili can sit on hers.”

Prince Harry also mentioned his wife was “holding the fort” back home in Montecito, California, taking care of her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, three dogs, as well as their chickens.

The Duke returned to the UK on September 30 as patron of the charity. The annual WellChild awards celebrate the inspiring qualities of some of the country’s seriously ill young people and the dedication of those who keep them healthy and happy, including health, social care and education professionals.

The chief content officer also described Harry’s mannerisms during the event. She wrote: “From the moment he arrived in the reception room, he had an infectious energy about him, and there were no airs and graces at all as he chatted animatedly about his own children ahead of the event.”

She added: “I knew that the WellChild Awards were special to Prince Harry, but it wasn’t until I had seen him in action that I was able to understand quite how much this special day means to the 40-year-old royal.”

On September 30, Harry presented the Most Inspirational Child (ages four to six) award and delivered a short speech.

He described the ceremony as a chance to “celebrate the extraordinary strength and spirit of young people with complex medical conditions” across the UK.

It was only a brief visit to the UK for the Prince, before he jetted off to Lesothoin Africa, to drive forward his work with the charity Sentebale.

While Prince Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, have rarely been seen in public, they have made short appearances on their parents’ Netflix documentary titled ‘Harry & Meghan’, and have also been pictured on Christmas cards issued by the couple.

Both the children have red hair, with Archie’s hair turning to a slightly darker auburn shade over the years. Harry has previously opened up about his children’s “ginger genes” too.

During an interview on US talk show, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, he explained: “The Spencer gene is very, very strong. I actually really, genuinely thought at the beginning of my relationship [with Meghan] that should this go the distance and we have kids that there’s no way the ginger gene will stand up to my wife’s genes, but I was wrong!”

Speaking of Lilibet on his Netflix documentary, Harry also described his daughter’s “Spencer-like” genes. He said: “I think, at the moment, I see a lot of my wife in Archie and I see a lot of my mum [Princess Diana] in Lili. She’s very Spencer-like. She’s got the same blue eyes…”
