After Blake Shelton shared a third cryptic post in the span of just two days, the country singer’s fans are more confused than ever—but they have plenty of theories.
On Tuesday, March 12, the “Austin” singer shared an orange square to Instagram with no caption or explanation, prompting a flurry of perplexed comments. On the same day, he posted another orange square with the letters “F R U O” in white, which similarly bewildered fans. The next day, Shelton shared yet another orange square, this time printed with the words “For recreational use only.”
“FOR RECREATIONAL USE ONLY,” Shelton emphasized in his caption.
While some of Shelton’s followers were flat-out stumped, others had ideas about what the post might mean.
“Bro what,” one person wrote.
“Blake coming out with ganja line was not on our 2025 bingo card 👀,” a second fan added.
“Album with Gwen?🤔” guessed someone else, referring to Shelton’s wife, Gwen Stefani, as another echoed, “Album title?! 👀” and some suggested it could be a song title.
“Not sure what’s happening here but we’re ready for it 👏🤠,” one optimistic Instagram user declared.
“Kubota orange. 🧡” another commenter pointed out, mentioning the company that makes Shelton’s beloved tractors. (Several others also speculated that Shelton’s color choice might be hinting at a joint venture with Kubota.)
“He’s coming out with a 🍺. Or a collab with Zach bryan (something in the orange??)” somebody suggested, while one fan joked, “he’s acting like kanye.”
At the moment, Shelton is halfway through his Friends & Heroes tour, kicking off the last six shows on Thursday, March 13, in Greenville, South Carolina.
He was also recently revealed to be a producer on The Road, a new music competition series, which will fellow country crooner Keith Urban and give rising artists the opportunity to be his opening act, as Hello! reported.
