Although she’s dealt with her struggles on the offensive side of the ball to begin the 2025 WNBA season, Angel Reese has effectively stated that she is the Chicago Sky’s best offensive and most dangerous player.
Reese had poor shooting numbers to begin the season, shooting less than 30% from the field in her first 10 games with a high turnover rate – amid the Sky’s poor win-loss record. But in recent weeks, Reese has performed at a high level as a scorer, as well as continuing to dominate on the boards.
In her past three games, Reese has scored 24, 18 and 17 points, two of those games being wins for the Sky as they hope to begin turning their season around.
After scoring 24 in the win over the Los Angeles Sparks, where Reese impressed coming up against the likes of Kelsey Plum and Dearica Hamby, she made a declarative statement – insinuating that she’s her teams best player.
She told reporters: “I’m the top of the scouting report,” suggesting that she is the player that team’s plan to stop.
Angel Reese is not shy of praising herself
They are words that may rub some people the wrong one, but ones that shows her confidence levels while playing her way out of her offensive drought – thus helping the Sky to get back into the win column.
Reese’s strong performance in Week 6 of the 2025 WNBA season earned her the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award, averaging 19.7 points, 17.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game, showcasing her all-around ability to impact both sides of the floor.
Reese recently voiced eagerness to play with Clark as the All-Star Game approaches, but was made aware that she has not made the team as the starter this year. She is likely to be named as an All-Star though, coming off the bench.

Although her confidence may come off as brash, Reese had also shown her humility last month – admitting she must improve on her performances to help her team.
Shooting just less than 30% from the field in her first 10 games, Reese admitted she must turn her form around at that time. She said: “Seven turnovers for me just can’t happen. I’m trying to relieve my guards. I got to be better.”
Reese Sky’s now has a 5-11 record after winning two of their last three, needing to go on a wining streak to get them close to playoff contention.
