Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne will be laid to rest today in Buckinghamshire at a private service attended by his family, including his rarely-seen daughter Aimee

Unlike her famous parents Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, and her siblings Kelly and Jack, Aimee Osbourne has consistently kept a low profile, shunning the spotlight.

So too have Ozzy’s children, Jessica and Louis, from his first marriage with Thelma Riley. Their father and Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy, died on July 22 just days after performing his final farewell concert. It comes as Sharon Osbourne broke down in tears at Ozzy’s funeral in heartbreaking scenes.

Sharon was supported by her children Kelly, Jack and Aimee as the family took in outpouring of love for the heavy metal star at his funeral procession attended by thousands of devoted fans.

Aimee, 41, who is a singer releasing music under the name ARO, was born in 1983 in London and lived with her famous family in California where they filmed their iconic show, The Osbournes, which Aimee opted not to be a part of. At age 16, Aimee chose to move out of the family home when her loved ones began filming for the reality series.

“Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life,” she told The Independent in 2015.

She added: “So why on earth would I want that portrayed on television? I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable.”

In 2020, mum Sharon explained that she understood Aimee’s decision to not appear on the show. Speaking on The Talk, she said: “We had about 30 crew, 24 hours a day. The house wasn’t a home any more, it was a studio, so I get why she didn’t like it.”

In terms of Aimee’s siblings, Kelly opened up about their relationship and in 2021 said: “We don’t talk”.

Talking on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Kelly explained: “We’re just really different. She doesn’t understand me and I don’t understand her.”

Speaking to Cleveland in 2021, Aimee, who released her debut album Vacare Adamaré in 2020, opened up about her love for music.

“I started writing, secretly, as a teenager. I also would write a lot of poetry – I was always creative in that way, less academically inclined,” she said

“My parents overheard me kind of singing in my room. It was a friend of my parents who said, ‘Oh, you should come and stay with me and work with some producers and see what happens.'”

It’s thought Aimee lives in Los Angeles, where she recently listed her stunning mid-century home for a whopping $4.4 million (£3.3 million).

Now, in a selfless final act for her dad, the rarely-seen sister is set to star in a new documentary about her rock legend father. Aimee will feature alongside her mother Sharon and siblings Jack and Kelly in the upcoming full-length special dedicated to the Prince of Darkness, where they’ll pay tribute to the beloved husband and father.

Titled Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now, the documentary is slated for release later this year.

Filming had reportedly been ongoing for several months before the star’s death, with a particular focus on Ozzy’s struggles following a serious fall in 2019 that had life-altering consequences.

The production also captures intimate behind-the-scenes moments at Ozzy’s final performance at Villa Park, according to The Sun.

An industry source revealed: “Aimee never wanted to be in the spotlight; she was never comfortable with the attention.

“However, she believed the documentary about her father’s life was a fitting way to break cover, as the special has a deep and emotive angle.

“The audience will be just as captivated by Aimee’s insights as they are to discover how Ozzy has managed during his more challenging years.”
