EXCLUSIVE: AR-15 Terror at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Estate—Suspect Charged with Attempted Murder

Woman suspected of shooting at Rihanna's home charged with attempted murder

BEVERLY HILLS — The quiet, high-security canyons of Beverly Hills were shattered Sunday afternoon when a 35-year-old Florida woman allegedly opened fire on the luxury estate of pop icon Rihanna, while the singer, her partner A$AP Rocky, and their three young children were all on the property.

The Attack: 1:15 PM Sunday

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the suspect—identified as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz—pulled up to the residence in a white Tesla Model 3. Armed with what investigators described as an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle, Ortiz allegedly discharged between seven and ten rounds from the vehicle.

While the singer and A$AP Rocky were reportedly in a trailer on the property at the time, and other family members were inside the main colonial-style house, the barrage of bullets struck:

The property’s reinforced front gate.

An Airstream trailer parked in the driveway.

An exterior wall of the mansion.

A neighbor’s home.

The Arrest: High-Speed Tracking

The LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division utilized a helicopter to track the suspect’s Tesla as it fled south on Coldwater Canyon. Within 30 minutes of the initial 911 call, Ortiz was cornered and taken into custody at a shopping center in Sherman Oaks. Police recovered the rifle and seven spent shell casings from her vehicle.

The Suspect: A Dark History of Obsession

Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, a licensed speech pathologist from Orlando, Florida, has been linked to a series of disturbing social media posts targeting A-list celebrities. Just weeks before the shooting, Ortiz posted a bizarre message on Facebook accusing Rihanna of having AIDS and claiming the singer was “harassing” her.

Her digital trail also includes erratic videos directed at Cardi B and Kim Kardashian, as well as a failed legal petition in Florida to block a Billie Eilish concert due to “noise-waiver permits.”

Legal Fallout

AR-15 Suspect Arrested After Shooting at Rihanna's Beverly Hills Mansion

Ortiz appeared in court Tuesday facing 14 felony counts, including:

Arrest made after Rihanna's Beverly Hills home was shot at, reports say

One count of attempted murder (specifically targeting Rihanna).

Ten counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.

Three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling.

While her initial bail was set at a staggering $10.2 million, it was later adjusted to $1.8 million during her Tuesday appearance. District Attorney Nathan Hochman emphasized that the severity of the charges reflects the danger posed to the ten individuals present across the two properties. If convicted on all counts, Ortiz faces life in prison.

The court has issued a strict protective order, requiring Ortiz to stay away from Robyn Fenty (Rihanna) and Rakim Mayers (A$AP Rocky). Arraignment has been postponed until March 25.
