The author of ‘Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York’ recalls a time Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor partied with multiple women in New York, at the invitation of the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his partner, Ghislaine Maxwell.
In an excerpt, Andrew Lownie writes: “The Duke continued to spend time with Epstein and Ghislaine, often staying at the millionaire’s homes in New York or Florida. The Duchess of York frequently stayed there too.” He describes a moment in the summer of 2000, when a British couple “ate at a neighbourhood restaurant and were told Andrew would be joining them”.
In the book, it is claimed one source recollected: “I remember seeing him sitting at a table at the far end with these three young [not underage] blonde girls when we walked in. He immediately got up, I imagined to join us, but instead he said goodbye and left with them in tow. It was all very strange.”
An excerpt of the book also claims that Ivan Novikov, Jeffrey Epstein’s personal driver, said: “Whenever Andrew was in town, I’d be picking up young girls who were essentially prostitutes. One time I drove Prince Andrew and two young girls around age eighteen to the Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District. Both girls were doing lines of cocaine. Prince Andrew was making out with one of them.”
Epstein’s housekeeper, Debra Gale, also alleged Andrew’s interest in the women: “One night, he took a Swedish girl to his bedroom. They spent the entire night together and most of the next day. When the girls would leave Andrew’s bedroom, I’d give them an envelope Mr Epstein left with anywhere from one to 25 thousand dollars in it. Depending on the girl and the situation.”
It is not suggested that the women mentioned in this extract above were under-age. Separately, the late Virginia Giuffre alleged that, having been trafficked by Epstein, she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions, including when she was 17. Andrew has always vigorously denied all the accusations against him.
The Express previously reported that Andrew had spent nights with prostitutes during a trade envoy trip to Hong Kong in 2010 in his capacity as the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment (UKTI).

In Virginia’s posthumous memoir, she wrote that on the day she allegedly met Andrew in 2001, Maxwell told her “just like Cinderella, I was going to meet a handsome prince”.
In the BBC Newsnight interview, Andrew said he had “no recollection whatsoever” of meeting Ms Giuffre. He said the alleged encounter in 2001 did not happen because he had spent the day with his daughter, Princess Beatrice, taking her to Pizza Express in Woking for a party.
In February 2022, it was announced that Andrew paid millions to Ms Giuffre to settle a civil sexual assault case, despite claiming never to have met her and denying all accusations made against him.
In 2025, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had nearly all his titles revoked by King Charles in late 2025, including his “Royal Highness” style, “Prince” title, Duke of York, and various military honours, following his association with Jeffrey Epstein and related sexual abuse allegations.
