The Golden Bachelorette‘s Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple spent their first Thanksgiving together, and the newly-engaged couple revealed if the big day was a success story for their relationship. Despite initial reservations about getting engaged ahead of The Golden Bachelorette season 1, Joan ended the season doing just that after she chose Chock over Guy Gansert during the finale. Ever since becoming fiancés, the couple has been showing off their loving relationship on social media, despite their critics pointing out supposed signs that Joan and Chock’s union won’t last. So far, they’re not letting the criticism get to them.
The Golden Bachelorette ‘s Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple spent Thanksgiving in Maryland, but the big question is whether they were successful in blending their two families together.
Just ahead of Thanksgiving this year, Joan updated her social media followers to reveal that Chock and his kids would be spending the holiday weekend with her. Now that Thanksgiving is over, the big question is whether the blending of the two families was successful. Chock took to Instagram to share photos of various family members on the big day. They even showed off some of the Christmas decorations they put up, including a tree and several stockings.
Chock revealed that it was the first big opportunity for the “Vassos crew and Chapple kids” to unite and spend the holidays together in Maryland. He admitted there was “so much to be thankful for,” including their family and the “start of new traditions.” In the comments section, Joan expressed how happy she was that she got to hang out with Chock’s kids; she noted that it “felt so easy” having the two families come together for a gathering as big as Thanksgiving. She admitted she couldn’t wait for the “the next time,” which will presumably be Christmas.

Joan & Chock’s Engagement Is Strong

Joan and Chock’s positive reactions to Thanksgiving 2024 proved that they were very successful in blending their two families together. The Golden Bachelorette couple hasn’t found a home in New York just yet, so for now, they have to either go to Joan’s house in Maryland or Chock’s place in Kansas. It’s less than a three-hour flight from one state to the other (longer if there’s a connecting flight), so it’s not too bad of a travel experience.
