A HOMEOWNER was barred from entering her own property after agreeing to let her daughter’s hippie friends park a school bus there.

It turned into a “frustrating” fiasco after they “refused to leave,” she said.

“I was generous enough to allow a family to park their bus in my property because they said they were self-sustainable,” property owner Kandie Sherman told CBS-affiliated WNEM on February 27.
The Vassar, Michigan, resident described herself as feeling “frustrated, helpless, and angry” over the dispute.
She had initially agreed to her daughter’s friends park their school bus on her property for six weeks last October.
But they ended up staying for four months, as the vehicle had mechanical problems, and couldn’t easily be shifted, said its residents.
Both sides ended up taking legal action.
Sherman organized an eviction notice, but the bus dwellers obtained a personal protection order against her.
That meant she had to stay clear of the vehicle – and was thus effectively barred from entering her own home.
However, days after the battle was aired by the broadcaster, the matter was resolved, WNEM said in an update on March 2.
The City of Vassar confirmed that a kindhearted local diesel mechanic had donated time to fix the broken down bus.
It was relocated to another site within the city for the repairs.
As a result, Sherman has now been allowed to enter her property again.
