After the Sussexes were ruthlessly skewered during an episode of Family Guy, Meghan Markle reportedly issued Prince Harry an ultimatum in the run-up to Christmas 2023

A ‘disaster’ parody of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly sent the couple into “panic mode”.

Last year, Family Guy skewered the couple in a scene that depicted them lounging around a pool while a butler delivers them their “millions from Netflix for… no one knows what.” A cartoon version of Harry responds, “Put it with the rest of them”, before ‘Meghan’ tells him: “Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco.”

Sources at the time claimed the episode had “cut the pair deep”, leaving them “desperate” to put things right. An insider claimed: “What’s hit them hardest and cuts the deepest of all is that it plays up the whole notion they’re self-entitled grifters or spoilt brats. Meghan said she won’t be humiliated like this and is desperate for a solution. They’re in full panic mode.”

These sources also alleged that the Sussexes were aware of having fallen out of favour with US fans, asserting that “the tides have turned against them in America.”

Meghan and Harry reportedly want to fix things

They claimed that while Meghan wouldn’t be “begging for anything” from the royals “after everything that’s happened,” she had been hoping that Harry could reconcile with his dad, King Charles and his older brother Prince William. The source told Closer: “Meghan has distanced herself from the furore for months, but now she’s giving Harry an ultimatum and demanding that he do whatever it takes to fix things.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex ended up spending Christmas in Montecito, California, with children Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, and Meghan’s mum Daria Ragland. Opening up in a recent interview with Marie Claire, Meghan shed some light on what their family Christmasses had looked like since moving across the pond.

Sharing that she “loves the holidays”, Meghan remarked that “every year it gets better” as her kids get to an age where they understand what’s happening. Meghan reflected: “At first, I think as a mum with children, you’re just enjoying having them there, but they’re not understanding everything that’s happening yet. But now we’re at the age where I just can’t wait to see it through their lens every year.”

Opening up about their Thanksgiving traditions, Meghan added: “We’re always making sure we have something fun to do. Like any other family, you spend time having a great meal, and then what do you do? Play games, all the same stuff, someone brings a guitar—fun.”
