Sarah Ferguson is refusing to trail Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor into exile, with her spokesman confirming today she is “assessing a number of options” for her next home and has made no final decision. The statement, issued to PEOPLE magazine, explicitly rules out moving with Andrew to Sandringham or into an annexe at Princess Beatrice’s Cotswolds estate. It also pours cold water on earlier reports that she would join Princess Eugenie in Portugal.

The 66-year-old, who lost her Duchess title in October, has lived at Royal Lodge since 2008 but now faces eviction alongside Andrew by February 2026. Sources say Ms Ferguson is determined to carve out an independent future away from the disgraced former prince after the London Gazette today formally erased his last royal honours. The move signals the end of their unusual post-divorce cohabitation and marks a clean break for the York family’s “great Houdini”.

Sarah Ferguson speaks out on brutal snub from William and Kate as she felt ‘worthless’

Prince William may not be Sarah Ferguson’s biggest fan these days as a result of scandals following her past friendship with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, but it appears that he has not been keen on his former auntie for a long time. When he tied the knot with wife Princess Catherine in April 2011, Sarah Ferguson was missing from the invite list.

While her ex husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and their two daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice attended the special day, Sarah did not. This is because she was not on the invite list, despite having watched William grow up.

Exact date Andrew will be forced to move out of Royal Lodge revealed

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will not be forced to leave Royal Lodge in Windsor until late October 2026, it has been revealed. The former duke reportedly has the legal right to remain in his 30-room mansion that point next year.

This revelation came to light in the UK Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee today, where it was confirmed that Andrew, 65, could live at the mansion for 11 more months. It was originally believed he would move out within months after being served an eviction notice just weeks ago.
