Robert Lacey’s book Battle of the Brothers, claims Prince William, ‘said he felt Meghan was ‘stealing his beloved brother away from him,’ whilst also not having any respect of the Royal traditions

The ongoing rift between royal brothers Prince William and Prince Harry seems to be showing no signs of thawing and a book about their feud claims Prince William was wary of Meghan Markle from the beginning.

Former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond told OK!: “There have been times in this past year when William has looked incredibly alone, shouldering the responsibility of being a son whose father has cancer, a husband caring for his wife as she also deals with cancer, a father of three young children… and who has no brother or mother to turn to for a bit of TLC.” William is alleged to have told a friend he thought Meghan Markle had an “agenda,” and felt “hurt” and “betrayed” by the rift between her and his wife, Kate Middleton who had neem war of Meghan “from the start.

Robert Lacey’s book Battle of the Brothers, claims William, “said he felt Meghan was ‘stealing his beloved brother away from him.” He also believed that Meghan Markle did not understand how the Royal system worked. Lacey quotes a Kensington Palace courtier as saying: ‘Meghan portrayed herself as the victim, but she was the bully. People felt run over by her. They thought she was a complete narcissist and sociopath — unhinged.’ The author also writes that he believes that William thought that Meghan had an ‘agenda’ and had voiced his reservations to his brother Harry before their engagement.

Throwing another dagger, in Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, the Duke of Sussex gave his side of the story about his wife’s relationship with Kate and revealed private details about a falling out between her and Meghan. He said Kate allegedly ‘grimaced’ when Meghan borrowed her lipgloss and how the women had a disagreement after the Duchess of Sussex said William’s wife had “baby brain” after Prince Louis was born.

Prince Harry and Prince William have reportedly not spoken to each other since Harry’s book Space was released in January 2023. Royal expert Hilary Fordwich, Fox News that William has effectively “banned” Harry from returning to the royal fold, discussing the rift between the two brothers. She said: “It is widely known within the family that Prince William has laid down an absolute ban on Harry returning in any way, shape or form into his former royal family fold,” she said.
