Princess Kate dazzled in a stunning red ball gown and tiara this evening as she joined her husband and other senior royals for a glittering state banquet. She stepped out in a rich dark red silk creponne evening gown, featuring softly gathered detailing and a dramatic caped back.
The striking design is the work of Sarah Burton for Givenchy—a subtle yet meaningful nod to British fashion, as Burton previously led Alexander McQueen and famously designed Kate’s iconic wedding dress.Adding to the ensemble’s sophistication, she carried a delicate evening clutch embroidered with lily of the valley—symbolising happiness and renewal.
Kate, 43, completed her regal look with the Lover’s Knot Tiara, a treasured piece that has become a signature in her royal jewellery collection.

Princess Kate has worn the iconic Lover’s Knot Tiara on at least 12 occasions, making it one of her most frequently chosen royal headpieces.
The tiara holds particular poignancy, having once been a favourite of Princess Diana. Kate’s repeated choice to wear it is widely seen as a touching tribute to her late mother-in-law’s memory and enduring legacy.
Her attendance at the evening event was only confirmed by Kensington Palace this afternoon, as her participation in major events continued to be confirmed at the last minute, as she continues to safeguard her health following her cancer battle.

The Princess completed her course of chemotherapy at the end of last summer and revealed she was in remission at the start of the year. And at the end of last month, she pulled out of joining her husband, family and close friends at Royal Ascot.
Wearing the King Charles III order for the first time, a symbolic portrait of the reigning monarch gifted to female royals, Kate turned heads in a striking dress.
It marked the first time the Princess has attended a state banquet since the South Korean President visited in Novermber 2023, having missed both the Japan and Qatari ones due to her cancer diagnosis.
