Prince William overrides Queen Camilla in ‘brutal war’ over Peter Phillips’ wedding
Much of the Royal Family are expected to attend this weekend’s festivities, but there could be some tension in the air.

Peter Phillips, son of Princess Anne, is getting married this Saturday (June 6) to NHS nurse Harriet Sperling. Much of the Royal Family are expected to attend the festivities but there could be some tension in the air.
There has been debate over whether or not Ms Sperling will be given permission to wear a tiara on the big day. She will not receive any royal titles upon marriage, as Peter Phillips has none, due to Princess Anne refusing them upon his birth. Despite this, Peter’s first wife, Autumn Kelly, was given access to Princess Anne’s Festoon Tiara for their wedding in 2008. Peter’s sister Zara also wore a tiara on her 2011 wedding day to Mike Tindall, borrowing Princess Anne’s Meander Tiara. But according to the Royal Insider Network on Youtube, Queen Camilla’s office blocked Ms Sperling from accessing any jewellery in the Royal Vault due to her not being part of the royal bloodline.

The royal commentary channel claimed that Prince William retaliated on behalf of his aunt in the “brutal war”, authorising a total administrative lockdown of the vaults to allow Ms Sperling to wear a tiara.
If there is tension at the wedding, it’s a good thing that the King and Queen will not be able to stay long, as they are due to attend the Derby Day at Epsom Downs Racecourse.
The couple are joint patrons of The Jockey Club, which owns and runs the Surrey racecourse. Queen Elizabeth was patron before them for 68 years and only missed two race days.
Jim Allen, general manager of Epsom Downs Racecourse, said: “We are honoured and thrilled that The King and Queen will be joining us at Epsom Downs on Derby Day.
“Their Majesties show great enthusiasm, interest and support for horseracing in the UK and their attendance next week will be a proud moment for all of the team here and everyone connected with the racecourse.”
Reportedly not attending the wedding are Prince Harry, ANdrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and Sarah Ferguson.
A friend of the couple said: “Peter and Harriet’s wedding is an intimate occasion with their close friends and immediate family around them in the Cotswolds. It’s an area where they grew up and is very special to them both.
“When and whether Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson had been invited, it was probably not deemed appropriate to invite them. It’s Peter and Harriet’s special day, and clearly their attendance would cause a distraction to the whole day. Peter and Harry haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited.”
