The pop sensation reminisced about his “encounters” in the tumultuous music industry.
Justin Bieber, now 30 and elevated to fame during his teenage years, has expressed a protective sentiment towards younger artists like Billie Eilish, adamant that they shouldn’t “go through anything I went through”. He steered clear of commenting on the arrest of P Diddy, his one-time mentor, currently imprisoned awaiting, trial, facing sex trafficking and racketeering charges, which he has pleaded not guilty to.
Bieber, who once gave sage advice to an up-and-coming 18-year-old Billie Eilish, clarifies his intentions to shield her from the darker sides of music fame.
In a raw 2020 Apple Music chat with Zane Lowe, the ‘Baby’ hitmaker couldn’t hold back tears as he poured out the tribulations he suffered in his earlier days. His voice wavered with emotion as he recounted periods of isolation and treachery in an industry so quick to turn its back, reports the Daily Star.
Deeply moved by his own journey, Justin affirmed: “It was hard for me being the music industry and being that young and not knowing where to turn and everyone, you know, telling me they loved me, and, you know, just turn your back on you in a second.”
He prolonged his heartfelt overture, asserting his unwavering support for Billie, “If she [Billie] ever needs me I’m going to be here for her… but, yeah, just protecting those moments because people take for granted… encounters… and… I just want to protect her.”
His final words conveyed a wish for Billie to sidestep any suffering similar to what he endured, stating, “I don’t want her to go through anything I went through. I don’t wish that upon anybody.”
The melancholy air even left interviewer Zane visibly distressed by Justin’s painful recollections.
The singer has recently become a first-time father, welcoming son Jack Blues with his wife Hailey. A source shared with People that the new dad is “in a happy bubble” following the birth and is keen on “just wants to focus on being a great dad and husband.”
Justin Bieber, at 27, and his model wife Hailey are now proud parents to their baby boy, Jack Blues Bieber. Sources say Justin was ecstatic about fatherhood and both he and Hailey are thrilled with their new addition.
A source confided to People: “They’re doing well. They’re both overjoyed. The baby is such a miracle. He’s adorable and doing well! Hailey’s doing well, too. The pregnancy was something that they very much wished and prayed for.”
“The day they found out that Hailey was pregnant was the best ever for Justin. He was over the moon with excitement. It was a big celebration for them. Justin’s already a great dad.”
The ‘Love Yourself’ crooner announced his entry into fatherhood with an Instagram photo of the newborn’s foot cradled by Hailey’s hand, captioning it: “WELCOME HOME. JACK BLUES BIEBER.”
The couple had previously disclosed in May that they were expecting, noting that Hailey was six months pregnant at the time.
Hailey, who was six months along when they shared their pregnancy news, managed to keep her growing belly under wraps with “big jackets”. Speaking to W magazine, she explained: “I was honestly able to keep it quiet because I stayed small for a long time. I didn’t have a belly, really, until I was six months pregnant, which was when I announced it. I was able to wear big jackets and stuff.
