A HEARTBROKEN mother has revealed the horrifying details of how she discovered her teenage daughter burned to death inside a walk-in Walmart oven.
The charred remains of Gursimran Kaur, 19, were discovered inside a walk-in oven in Walmart’s Bakery department in Halifax, Nova Scotia, eastern Canada.

Gursimran‘s mother, who worked at the store with her daughter, made the grisly find on October 19, 2024.
“I opened the door and she was there,” Mandip Kaur told The Daily Mail.
“I couldn’t handle myself, I was there on the floor with her for five or 10 minutes. I didn’t know what had happened”, she added.
Mandip was desperately searching for her daughter after not seeing her on the floor for an hour when tragedy struck.
She had asked other employees if they had seen her daughter but was brushed aside, telling her Gursimran could be somewhere helping customers because “Walmart is a superstore.”
She tried calling her daughter, but her “phone was not reachable.”
The grieving mother recalled seeing black-brown liquid that resembled tar oozing from the walk-in commercial oven.
Reaching temperatures of up to 400 degrees, the oven is used to bake frozen bread.
The liquid had come from the teen’s body, the outlet said.
When she got to her daughter, Mandip said her body was charred beyond recognition.
Halifax Regional Police were called to the Walmart at around 9:30 pm on Saturday after receiving reports about a female “locked inside an oven in the bakery.”
The dispatcher told responding officers the oven was still on but was “unsure if the staff are able to turn it off.”
When Halifax police arrived, Gursimran was out of the oven but was declared dead.
The Halifax Walmart closed for four months after Gursirman’s horrific death — and floral tributes were tied to a lamp post outside the superstore.
It’s unclear how Gursimran became trapped in the oven, which could not be locked from the outside.
The oven is a commercial model large enough for a person to step inside.
After the store reopened, the in-store bakery was moved to another section of the Walmart.
The bakery ovens were replaced and the only currently visible ovens in-store are smaller models that employees cannot walk inside of, according to the Mail.
Halifax Police Department initially investigated Gursimran’s death as a possible homicide.
But a month later cops concluded her death was not suspicious.
Just last month the Department of Labor cleared Walmart of any wrongdoing in relation to the tragedy.
As mystery swirls around the circumstances of Gursimran’s death, questions have been raised whether the teen took her own life.
Her mother vehemently rejects any suggestion her daughter committed suicide.
Mandip recalled that they had spent the night before she died with her daughter, laughing and celebrating with loved ones.
“Does she look depressed? She was so happy,” Mandip said.
A Walmart Canada spokesperson previously told The U.S. Sun the company was heartbroken by the employee’s tragic death.
“We’re supporting our associates during this incredibly difficult time and have provided access to 24/7 virtual care and will provide on-site support, including grief counseling,” the spokesperson said.
Gursimran and her mother had moved to Canada from India about two years before the tragedy.
