The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to be at the centre of a new documentary airing tonight.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be at risk of losing what is left of their relationship with the Royal Family after a new documentary about the couple hits TV screens tonight.
The new documentary ‘Harry – The Lost Prince’ is set to air on Germany’s ZDF network and will have the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as the primary focus.
As part of the new programme, film makers have looked into the prince’s struggles when he was a working member of the Royal Family and his life now in California with Meghan and their two children Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.
It is also likely to examine the rifts they have had with the Royal Family since quitting in 2020, along with the questionable choices made by the duke since, including some of the revelations and accusations in his 2023 memoir Spare.
PR expert Ryan McCormick told The Mirror US that the documentary has the potential to ruin the couple’s reputation and their hopes of any form of reconciliation with the royals, depending on what the new programme reveals.
He said: “Until the film comes out, everything is speculation. However, I think that if the special does not get a healthy amount of viewers, it would be a foretelling sign that Harry and Meghan‘s popularity has truly waned.
“If the documentary reveals fresh scandals and portrays the duo as opportunists seeking to return to the well of royal family secrets (which once propelled them to peak public interest), it will be a calamity for any reconciliation with Buckingham Palace. It will also hurt their reputation and likability.”
While the documentary may cause the couple more harm than good, McCormick said this may not be the case, with the programme having the potential to boost the couple’s popularity.
He explained: “If the film shows the royal exiles as down-to-earth, relatable and with humor it could be a tremendous boost to how they are perceived.”
The programme comes at a busy time for the royals, who will be hosting a state visit over the next two days for Amir of Qatar.

The state visit will see the involvement of senior royals including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate – all of whom are likely to feature on the programme.
Buckingham Palace announced yesterday that Queen Camilla will no longer be attending as many events at the state visit as previously anticipated as a result of her continued symptoms following a nasty chest infection last month.
It is understood the original programme has been tweaked because Queen Camilla, who had a chest infection after her long haul trip to Australia and Samoa, has been advised to rest and recover fully by doctors.
