Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has swapped his Grade II 30-room Royal Lodge mansion for a pre-owned two-bed static caravan costing £26,000, which now sits propped on bricks in his Norfolk garden, its exterior showing visible moss growth.
The Willerby Meridian Lodge, manufactured in 2012, was purchased using funds provided by King Charles for living expenses.
The two-bedroom unit presents a distinctly modest aesthetic, featuring beige and grey tones that have faded considerably over time.
Inside, the accommodation offers brown or grey carpeting, vinyl floors, and imitation wood worktops alongside a compact kitchen with a metal sink.

A second-hand £26,000 static caravan has arrived at Marsh Farm

A chrome-and-glass ceiling light serves as the most notable interior feature.
Sources indicate the caravan has proven useful for Andrew during visits to Marsh Farm, which remains under extensive renovation ahead of his eventual move.
“Andrew uses it himself, would you believe, and what’s more shocking is, he likes it. He really is a changed man; he’s enjoyed sitting in the caravan. It’s novel for him,” one source revealed.
Another insider noted: “People thought the caravan was for his staff, but he doesn’t really have any.”
Staff from elsewhere on the Sandringham estate assist him, though many have reportedly been unwilling to take up residence.
Andrew currently occupies Wood Farm, located approximately a mile and a half from Marsh Farm, which previously served as Prince Philip’s retreat.

Andrew is currently residing at Wood Farm in Sandringham | GETTYInsiders say Andrew remains reluctant to depart Wood Farm until Marsh Farm meets his exacting standards, a situation causing considerable frustration for the King, who wishes to reclaim the property for guest overflow accommodation.
“Marsh Farm has needed rewiring and plastering and there was even talk of asbestos — it’s not in a fit state for him yet. Meanwhile, Andrew wants the best of everything and the process is painfully slow,” a source explained.
The source added: “But he needs to be out soon, and the King would have no qualms about pushing him out of Wood Farm if it was needed for overspill.
“Andrew might end up sleeping in that caravan if he’s not careful.”
A friend of his former wife Sarah Ferguson offered a wry observation: “He’s swapped ski chalets for static chalets.
“His mother would be turning in her grave to see that monstrosity in his back garden.”

Marsh Farm is still undergoing extensive construction work, reportedly making Andrew reluctant to move

Yesterday afternoon, Andrew was photographed gazing at horses on the Sandringham Estate, accompanied by his security guard near Wood Farm.
The sighting comes after he was reportedly prohibited from riding last month, with sources suggesting it would present a “bad look” given the continuing scrutiny surrounding his connections to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Prior to his relocation to Sandringham, Andrew had been a regular sight riding across the Windsor estate.
