50 Cent Says He Is No Longer Going to Diddy’s Parties Because He Hugs You ‘From the Front and the Back at the Same Time’
50 Cent is still on tour.
And his latest antics include some commentary on Diddy’s legendary parties—and Fif is apparently not a fan.
“That’s why I don’t be going to them Puffy parties. Uh-uh. N***a hug you from the front and the back at the same time? Fuck you talkin’ about? Look, if you into that, you into that,” 50 said on stage. “I’m fine with it. To each his own. I’m just sayin’ this ain’t my motherfucking kind of party. It’s uncomfortable. I think I belong in the girls bathroom when shit like that is going on.”
Another stunt from 50 Cent’s The Final Lap Tour recently saw him go viral. In late September, fans couldn’t stop talking about a clip of him performing in Minnesota where he changed into three outfits within mere seconds.
At the beginning of the video, the 48-year-old is seen wearing a Givenchy button-up before the lights flash and he’s wearing a Dolce & Gabana shirt.
When the trick happens again, and he’s wearing a second D&G shirt, before ultimately sporting a white tank top and white pants.
Similarly, at a show in early September, the rapper employed another visual trick where he changed his wardrobe in a cloud of smoke. When he first went in, he was wearing all-black, before emerging in an all-white fit.
In the world of hip-hop, relationships can be complex, and none more so than that between 50 Cent and Diddy. Over the years, their dynamic has swung between love and hate, and recently, 50 Cent offered some insight into why he’s not a fan of Diddy’s notorious parties. In a video captured during an undisclosed concert, 50 Cent candidly shared with his audience his reluctance to attend “Puffy parties.” He expressed discomfort with the atmosphere, suggesting it’s not his scene.“They can hug you from the front and the back at those parties,” 50 Cent remarked in the video. “If you’re into that, you’re into that. I’m fine with it, but it’s just not my kind of art.” This isn’t the first time 50 Cent has taken a jab at Diddy’s gatherings. Earlier, when rapper Lil Baby faced criticism for attending a party where a photo of him hugging a billionaire went viral, 50 Cent joined in, posting the image with a caption indicating his aversion to such events.
One possible reason for 50 Cent’s disdain could be rooted in the past. It’s well-known that Diddy passed on signing 50 Cent to Bad Boy Records in the early days of his career. Tony Yayo, a member of 50 Cent’s crew, recalled in a recent interview that they had a meeting with Diddy about a potential deal, which ultimately fell through. Yayo believes it was a significant mistake on Bad Boy’s part, and it’s plausible that 50 Cent still harbors resentment over the rejection.
The revelation adds a layer of complexity to the relationship between 50 Cent and Diddy, showcasing how past business decisions can influence personal dynamics in the industry. While their interactions may continue to be marked by tension and occasional barbs, it’s clear that 50 Cent’s decision to steer clear of Diddy’s parties is a deliberate one, driven by his own preferences and perhaps lingering sentiments from the past.
As the hip-hop community continues to speculate on the intricacies of their relationship, one thing remains certain: 50 Cent’s candor and willingness to speak his mind ensure that the drama between him and Diddy will always be a topic of conversation in the industry.
