The ex staff members of Meghan Markle have claimed that the Duchess of Sussex treated them like “s***”.

People who worked for the Duchess when she was a member of the Royal Family told editor of The Daily Beast Tom Sykes that Meghan, 43, could be like a “demon” at times towards her staff.

In an article for The Sunday Times, Sykes recalled conversations he had with various staff members who claim they were mistreated by Meghan, who has recently been dubbed “Duchess Difficult”.

One person who worked for Meghan and Harry reportedly told him: “There definitely were bad, very bad, even psycho moments. I witnessed people being chewed up in person and over the phone and made to feel like s***.

“It was an incredibly fraught time and I’m inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt. She has said herself she was suicidal at times.”

Sykes also recalled in The Sunday Times how another person who worked with Meghan in the run-up to her wedding claimed she was a narcissist.

He said the worker told him: “I always thought she was a classic narcissist and getting her staff to tell a magazine how amazing she is only confirms that in my mind. She is lovely when it is all going her way but a demon when the worm turns.”

According to Sykes, a third source said a florist was “screamed at down the phone” for half an hour by Meghan after they posted an insignificant detail online about a bouquet they were working on for her, without identifying that she was the client.

The source went on to say that working with the Duchess was similar to being treated like a tradesman “who could be treated like s***.”

The claims were made after a story in Us Weekly shone a positive light on Meghan as a boss.

In the article, Meghan’s head of PR Ashley Hansen reportedly said she was treated by Meghan with the love and care as a parent would lavish on their children.

Other sources reportedly said that the Duchess would give them lovely gifts during their time working with her.

According to The Sunday Times, Meghan, 43, has previously denied claims of bullying staff after a number of staff members working beneath her resigned.
