During the Trooping the Colour carriage ride, Princess Charlotte posed a sweet question to her mother, Kate, as revealed by a lip reader. As Kate, Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis made their way from Buckingham Palace in a carriage for the King’s official birthday parade, their appearance drew cheers from the crowd.

The siblings and their mother waved enthusiastically to onlookers from their carriage as they trailed behind the King and Queen along the Mall to Horse Guards Parade – with Louis flaunting his toothless grin. In a heartwarming moment, Charlotte turned to her mother, engaging in conversation and playfulness as they progressed along the route.

According to a professional lip reader, Jeremy Freeman, the young princess inquired: “Who is it?” referring to an individual in the crowd, to which Kate responded. Charlotte then seemed to exclaim: “Oh brilliant” before the pair shared a chuckle.

This charming exchange occurred before the King and Queen led the Royal Family onto the Buckingham Palace balcony to observe a flypast of military aircraft.

They were accompanied by the Prince and Princess of Wales, their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. Members of the Royal family were spotted engaging in conversation as planes soared above the palace, reports the Mirror.

Onlookers gathered in The Mall and erupted in cheers as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team – the Red Arrows – flew overhead, leaving behind vibrant trails of red, white, and blue smoke.

The team utilised a mix of sustainable aviation fuel and standard jet fuel for their engines, along with a renewable biofuel for the smoke trails. The Royal family gave one final wave to the crowd before retreating back into the Palace.

In other news, Kate resumed her prominent role at Trooping the Colour today, alongside the King and Queen. As Colonel of the Irish Guards, she took her place on the dais with the King and Queen to observe the impressive military parade at Horse Guards Parade.

Last year, she watched the display from the Major General’s office with her children, marking her return to duty following the commencement of her cancer treatment. Today, Kate arrived at Horse Guards Parade in an Ascot Landau carriage, accompanied by her three children.

She looked stunning in a turquoise Catherine Walker coat dress, a hat by Juliette Botterill, her Irish Guards Regimental brooch, and a pair of earrings that once belonged to the late Queen, before taking her seat on the parade ground.

At the previous year’s Trooping the Colour, Kate made a triumphant comeback, marking her first official public outing since disclosing her cancer diagnosis. She held a prominent position on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the RAF flypast, standing side-by-side with the King.

This was two months prior to her announcement that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment and in January of this year, she shared the news that she is now in remission.
