Warwick appeared in King Charles’ New Year Honours list for 2026 alongside Idris Elba and Cynthia Erivo.
He was praised in particular for his work supporting people with dwarfism, after he co-founded the charity Little People UK in 2012 with his late wife Samantha.
They have since raised hundreds of thousands to help people with the debilitating conditions that cause dwarfism, which Warwick said felt like “the worst flu you’ve had, every day”.
The 56-year-old himself was born with a rare form of dwarfism called spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita.
He was pictured beaming and shaking hands as he received the prestigious accolade from Prince William.
Davis, who also played the goblin Griphook in the Harry Potter series, has confirmed he will return to the world of wizardry in the reboot.
With a career spanning 40 years, Davis has appeared as Wicket the Ewok in several Star Wars films, as well as in the comedy TV series Life’s Too Short.
He was awarded Bafta’s top honour, the Bafta Fellowship, in 2025 for his acting career and advocacy work.
At the time, he said: “This is the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I’ve been in Star Wars.”
Davis dedicated the award to his wife who sadly died in 2024.
Also recognised at the ceremony was England and Manchester City footballer Alex Greenwood.
The 32-year-old defender received an MBE for services to football, having won 107 caps and helped the Lionesses lift the European Championship in 2022 and defend it in 2025.
She also leads Manchester City as captain, seeing them to the top of the Women’s Super League this season.
An OBE is a British honour awarded by the Royal Family and is the second-highest ranking in the Order of the British Empire honours.
The honour recognises exceptional contributions to the country and the impact of the recipient’s work, whether at a local or national level.
