Investigators Examine Disturbing Handwritten Notes Left Behind After Deadly San Diego Mosque Attack
7
The San Diego mosque sh00ting had already devastated an entire community. Now, investigators say disturbing handwritten notes allegedly left behind by the teenage gunmen may reveal a much darker story that began long before the first shots were fired.
According to law enforcement sources close to the investigation, detectives recovered multiple handwritten messages, journals, and personal writings believed to be connected to the suspects responsible for the deadly attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego.
Authorities have not publicly released the contents of the writings, but officials reportedly consider them a critical part of understanding how the teenagers became consumed by violent ideology and hatred before the attack unfolded.
The decision to keep the documents sealed has only intensified fear and speculation online.

Community members are now questioning whether the writings may contain warning signs, threats, extremist beliefs, or evidence of detailed planning that could reveal how the tragedy developed behind the scenes unnoticed.
“How did it get this bad?” one grieving resident reportedly asked during a community vigil held after the attack.
That question now hangs heavily over San Diego as federal investigators continue combing through every detail connected to the suspects’ lives, online activity, friendships, and possible radicalization.
Authorities say the attack left multiple people d3ad, including members connected to the Islamic Center community, before the teenage suspects later died from what investigators described as self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
The horrifying violence shocked California and triggered an enormous law enforcement response as officers flooded the mosque campus searching classrooms, prayer halls, and surrounding buildings while terrified families sheltered inside.
Now the focus has shifted toward understanding what may have pushed the teenagers toward such extreme violence.
Investigators reportedly believe the handwritten material could offer insight into the suspects’ mental state in the weeks and months leading up to the attack.
Some experts following the case say violent attackers often leave behind writings attempting to justify their actions, express grievances, or document escalating extremist beliefs before carrying out attacks.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the notes referenced religious hatred, political ideology, online influence, or personal grievances. However, federal officials are reportedly examining potential links to extremist content and digital radicalization.
The secrecy surrounding the writings has fueled growing public anxiety.
Across social media, many people expressed horror at the possibility that the suspects may have shown warning signs that went unnoticed by classmates, relatives, or online communities.
Others are asking whether earlier intervention could have prevented the tragedy entirely.
Meanwhile, grieving families continue gathering outside the Islamic Center to honor the victims, including beloved security guard Amin Abdullah, who police say acted heroically during the attack and may have prevented even greater loss of life.
Flowers, candles, and handwritten prayers now surround the memorial site as an entire city struggles to process what happened.
For many residents, however, one devastating thought now overshadows everything else: the violence may not have begun when the shooting started — but much earlier, hidden quietly inside thoughts and writings nobody fully understood until it was too late.
