On his future with the Chiefs, Rice said he will be ready to be on the field next season. “When it comes time for me to get back on the field, there will be no question about what I did in the offseason,” the key weapon for Mahomes told I Am Athlete Podcast in a statement.

Rice is recovering from PCL surgery. In Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season, he suffered a knee injury after a collision with quarterback Patrick Mahomes during a game against the Los Angeles Chargers. This injury caused him to miss the rest of the season.

Rice had an outstanding rookie season in the 2023 NFL season, where he recorded receptions for 938 yards and contributed 7 touchdowns. In the 2024 season, the 24-year-old receiver got off to a strong start, recording 7 receptions for 103 yards in the win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. Now there is anticipation to see him in the new campaign.
