Shamon Jones, the longtime partner of Texas rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and mother of their 5-year-old daughter R’Mani, has publicly addressed a wave of criticism over her alleged misuse of GoFundMe donations. The controversy erupted after Jones was spotted posing with stacks of cash and a luxury purse during a balloon release memorial for R’Mani on March 12, 2025, prompting accusations that she was mishandling funds raised to support her after the tragic deaths of Lil Ronnie and R’Mani.

Jones took to social media to defend herself, sharing a raw and emotional response to the backlash. In her post, she wrote,

“IDGAF ABOUT A GO FUND ME FROM STRANGER TO FAMILY Y’ALL PRESSED ABOUT MONEY !! I BEEN HAVING MONEY & MY WAY GUESS I HAVE TO SAY THIS !! LIKE GIVE ME MY BABIES BACK IDGAF ABOUT NONE OF THIS SH NO MONEY IN THE WORLD WOULD MAKE ME TURN AGAINST MY CHILD OR BD.”

She went on to express her anguish, adding,

“IM SICK TO MY STOMACH IM ABOUT TO TAKE MY PAGE DOWN !! THIS SH A JOKE TO PEOPLE & IM HURTING !!”

Her words reflect the deep pain she’s enduring amid public scrutiny.

The GoFundMe campaign, titled “Support a Grieving Mother After Tragedy,” was launched by Jones following the devastating loss of Lil Ronnie and R’Mani, who were killed in a targeted shooting at a car wash in Forest Hill, Texas, on March 3, 2025. As of March 15, 2025, the fundraiser has collected over $53,000 from donors hoping to help Jones through this difficult time. However, the images from the memorial event sparked outrage among some who questioned whether the money was being used appropriately.

Jones has adamantly denied these claims, asserting that she has her financial resources and does not depend on the donations. She highlighted her role as a provider, mentioning a recent $300 iPad purchase, though this detail has puzzled some, given R’Mani’s passing. Jones also stated that she “mourns differently,” pushing back against those judging her actions during her grief.
