In a post-game interview, Doncic said, “I never got a fan ejected, never. But if he’s gonna talk, I’m gonna talk back like always. So that they had noting to do with the ref. So I don’t really understand.”
This explanation highlights Doncic’s unfiltered approach to interacting with fans, unlike LeBron James, who has been much more controlled in such situations. A few years ago, LeBron had fans ejected during a Lakers game for making personal comments about his family.
LeBron famously stated, “There are things I would never say to a fan, and things they shouldn’t say to me.” His stance has drawn a clear line between playful banter and unacceptable behavior.

However, his teammate Jarred Vanderbilt weighed in, suggesting that Doncic’s ejection might be part of a larger issue. Vanderbilt alleged that referee JT Orr appeared to have a personal bias against Doncic, which could have influenced his decisions during the game.
While Doncic remains unapologetic about his fan interactions, the tension between him and the referees might have deeper implications for his future conduct on the court.
