Kerry Katona has broken her silence on ex Brian McFadden’s former wife Vogue Williams starring on I’m A Celebrity (Kerry and Brian pictured in 2001)
Kerry Katona has spoken out for the first time about ex-husband Brian McFadden’s former wife, Vogue Williams, following the model’s surprise arrival on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Vogue, 40, entered the jungle as a late addition in Thursday night’s episode, joining forces with Celebs Go Dating favourite Tom Read Wilson as the duo stepped into camp.
Vogue, 40, made her debut as a late arrival during Thursday’s episode of the ITV show, entering the camp alongside Celebs Go Dating favourite Tom Read Wilson
Writing in her latest OK! Magazine column, Kerry didn’t hold back on her reaction to Vogue stepping into the spotlight. “So, my ex-husband Brian McFadden’s ex-wife Vogue Williams has gone into the jungle,” she wrote. “How funny is that? I do think she’ll do well, but I don’t know her personally.”
Vogue went on to marry Westlife star Brian following his divorce from Kerry, who recalled what their relationship was like (pictured in 2016)
Vogue married Westlife singer Brian after his split from Kerry — and Kerry reflected on the unusual dynamic that followed. She remembered one moment in particular: “I remember her waving at me from the car when Brian picked up the kids. She never made any particular effort to come and say hi to me — which I think is important as a stepmum.”
It comes as Vogue revealed the truth behind her age-defying looks after complaining about feeling ‘so ugly’ in the jungle – and immediately being grilled by Ruby Wax during Friday night’s show
Despite the odd tension, Kerry went on to clarify that she never truly met Vogue, and she wishes her nothing but good luck in the jungle. As far as conversations about Brian go, she insists she’s unbothered: their relationship ended more than two decades ago, and she has no intention of revisiting it.
Ruby (pictured) went on to tell her: ‘You’re the prettiest person I’ve ever seen in my life’
Vogue was married to Brian from 2012 until their divorce in 2017. The couple had no children together.
Meanwhile, Vogue has already made waves among viewers — not for jungle challenges, but for confessing the truth behind her flawless appearance. During Friday night’s episode, she opened up about feeling “so ugly” in camp, a confession that prompted Ruby Wax to question what cosmetic treatments she had undergone. Vogue admitted she has permanent lip-liner tattooing and “loads of Botox,” a revelation Ruby took in stride, joking she had “a lot of that too.”
Later in the Bush Telegraph, Ruby admitted she’s also had work done through the years, laughing about a moment when Jennifer Saunders told her that her cosmetic tweaks were far more obvious than she realised.
As for camp life, Vogue joined the show just as Kelly Brook, Aitch and AngryGinge tackled “Bush Summer Camp,” and she quickly found herself partnered with Tom as the pair were tasked with assigning camp duties. After weighing their options, they appointed Kelly Brook and Martin Kemp as camp chefs, Lisa Riley and Ruby Wax on washing duty, Eddie Kadi and Ginge on water, and Aitch and Alex Scott on wood collecting. They also selected four badge winners — Kelly, Lisa, Ginge and Jack Osbourne — who were rewarded with marshmallows and hot chocolate at Snake Rock.
Before entering the jungle, Vogue had already confessed what she feared most — and it wasn’t the spiders or snakes. The fitness-loving mother of three admitted she was panicking about losing her workout routine. Speaking on her Vogue & Amber podcast with her sister, she revealed: “I’m just considering the free time I’m going to have in there. I’m going to be having little gym classes, I’ve decided. I can’t lose this ass that’s taken so long to build — I’m just going to keep squatting my way around the jungle!”
But her future on the show may already be at risk. Because Vogue is from Dublin, most of her fanbase lives in the Republic of Ireland — and Irish viewers cannot vote in the UK-based competition. She urged fans before entering: “Anyone listening to this, please vote. And Irish people — you’re not allowed to vote, so if you have English friends, cousins or colleagues, tell them to vote. Support the Irish!”
As the season continues, the spotlight is now firmly on how Vogue will navigate the challenges ahead — and whether UK viewers will keep her in long enough to make her mark.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player.
