The Duke of Sussex has seen a number of relationships crumble since he quit life as a senior Royal in 2020 and relocated overseas to America.

Prince Harry has suffered fractured relationships with certain family members over the last few years after he quit the Royal Family in 2020.

As well as relocating over the pond to America, where he now resides in an £11 million Montecito mansion with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Harry also undertook other actions that were not stereotypically royal.

These included the bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, where the couple accused the Royal Firm of racism, followed by their 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan.

The duke, 40, then took things a step further with the release of his memoir Spare in 2023, which is believed to have been the reason why he is no longer on speaking terms with his older brother Prince William, 42.

However, while the Duke and Duchess criticised the Royal Family or at least life as a senior royal on all three of these occasions in some shape or form, it appears there were some comments Harry made behind closed doors that resulted in the end of one of his close friendships, according to The Daily Mail’s royal editor Rebecca English.

She wrote: “I was told of one former confidant, who for many years couldn’t have been closer to Harry, who was so disgusted by his behaviour – and, in particular, by some of the things he apparently said privately about his family – that they vowed never to talk to him again. And they haven’t.”

This reportedly included a comment about his dad King Charles.

Although Prince Harry may have lost some friends since leaving the UK almost five years ago, the duke has managed to cling on to some family relationships.

This includes his relationship with his dad King Charles, who he flew to Britain to see shortly after his cancer diagnosis.

While they were not together long, and are not believed to have met since, it is reported that the pair still speak, with the King having called Harry in September to wish him a happy 40th birthday.

After seeing his dad earlier this year, the prince told Good Morning America: “I jumped on a plane and went to go see him as soon as I could.

“Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.”

Harry did not see the King on his latest UK visit for the WellChild Awards in September, however it is believed this is because the monarch, 75, was in Scotland resting before his autumn Royal Tour to Australia and Samoa.
