Liam Payne was allegedly trying to leave his hotel room before his tragic fall from his third-floor balcony that led to his death last month.
The One Direction star, who died at the age of 31, reportedly wanted to escape from his Buenos Aires room at the CasaSur Palermo resort and was threatening to use the balcony as the way to leave, according to a report by TMZ.

Payne was reportedly left him by himself, according to the police report, a 911 call and surveillance video.
The outlet also noted that the singer didn’t like being locked up in hotel rooms and allegedly used the balcony escape idea previously, most recently in September.
Sources told TMZ about the plan at the time: “Liam’s bodyguard was concerned he might have been on a drug binge and forced him inside a room in a Florida rental house. Liam escaped from a balcony, using a garden hose to reach the ground.”
According to surveillance footage obtained by the publication, just moments before his death, Payne was in the hotel lobby and appeared to be under the influence, smashed his laptop and was causing a disruption.
Reports have also suggested that Liam had pink cocaine in his system on the night of his death. Pink cocaine is a drug cocktail that includes methamphetamine, MDMA, ketamine and more but not cocaine. It’s also claimed that Liam had cocaine, crack, and benzodiazepine in his system.

Liam looked conscious and was holding his head up before three hotel employees carried him to his room, just minutes before he fell.
Once the workers got the Strip That Down crooner to his suite, he struggled with them and appeared to not want to be left in his room.
An employee used a master key to get inside and placed Liam in the room. A police report acquired by TMZ noted that workers removed a mirror from the wall outside of Payne’s room.
Liam allegedly told the employees he didn’t want to stay in his room and would leave via the balcony and a worker then called 911 just moments later, as they were afraid Liam could hurt himself. They left him alone soon after and when he fell from the veranda, he reportedly had a bag strapped onto his chest. Police also reportedly found a hat by his body. Both items were not on his person when he was in the lobby.
The hotel has not been accused in any way in connection to Liam’s death. When approached, the CasaSur Hotel offered “no comment” over the claims, according to Mirror UK.
