Palace on alert as King Charles fails ‘illusion of perfect health’
King Charles appears to be doing everything in his power to assure the public and the Palace that he is managing just fine despite his ongoing cancer battle.
The monarch has been taking on royal engagements and has actively doing paperwork behind the scenes, but even with him pushing himself to the extra mile, Charles is unable to keep up the illusion and fooling no one.
Royal aides had already been “quietly preparing” Prince William to “step up fast” for his destined role and the last few weeks have been a stark example of how the influence of the Prince of Wales has grown exponentially.
One aide spoke to ShuterScoop’s Rob Shuter and revealed that Charles is “seriously unwell but determined to carry on.”
Concerns have grown over King Charles health at Buckingham Palace as the aide shared that the King is “exhausted” but he “won’t stop”.
They added, “Every morning he insists on reading his red boxes. He believes his service to the country is his calling – and he’ll keep going as long as he can”. However, “the illusion of perfect health is collapsing”.
Even though with his health crisis, reports have revealed that Charles had still taken on more engagements than Prince William this year.
King Charles Cancer Diagnosis
King Charles had issued a statement via Buckingham Palace announcing his cancer diagnosis in February 2024, and began treatment shortly afterwards.
He stepped back from royal duties for a brief period of time to recover but carried on his constitutional role as head of state, completing paperwork and holding private meetings.
His public role resumed at the end of April 2025 with a joint appearance with Queen Camilla at a cancer treatment centre.
Charles still continues to get weekly treatments but his cancer type remains undisclosed.
