TV legend David Dickinson is not the only star in his family as his grandkids have also made their mark on television.

The veteran presenter, renowned for his programmes like ITV’s Dickinson’s Real Deal and Bargain Hunt, has enjoyed an illustrious career spanning decades.

He’s bee happily married to the enchanting Lorne Lesley, an international cabaret sensation, since 1968 after meeting in a nightclub in the 1960s. Dickinson affectionately describes his wife on his website: “Lorne is half African and half Welsh and hails from Tiger Bay, just like Shirley Bassey. Lorne is very glamorous, a lovely striking lady, and she has more talent in her little finger than I have in my whole body!”.

The couple share two children, Robert and Katrina, from Lesley’s previous marriage, whom Dickinson later adopted.

Now, in their fifties, Robert and Katrina have blessed Dickinson and Lesley with four grandchildren: Aim’ee, Lauren, Myles, and Finley. Interestingly, the boys have also tasted fame, featuring on ITV’s Big Star’s Little Star.

Moreover, Myles created quite an impression on Dragons’ Den with his business pitch, leaving the Dragons intrigued. Sara Davies, struck by his drive, asked if it was nature or nurture that fuelled his ambition, prompting Myles to share that his father “runs a business” and his grandfather is “on TV”, as reported by the Express.

The Dragons perked up upon discovering Myles’ family ties to television personality David Dickinson, which led to Myles unveiling his concept for custom credit cards. Steven Bartlett couldn’t contain his excitement, confessing: “I’m a sucker for this stuff. I am the target customer for this kind of product because whenever Revolut pop up with any kind of personalised card, I’ve bought all of them.”, reports the Mirror.

Peter Jones saw massive potential in Myles’ venture and offered to match the investment request for 35 percent equity.

Touker Suleyman promised Myles his time, while Peter Jones claimed: “Nobody has mentored, helped and assisted more young people in Britain than me.”

However, it was Steven who sealed the deal with an offer that Myles couldn’t refuse: “I’m going to go one step further, you can come and work in my office with me and my team. I am the guy for this business.”

Steven suggested £35,000 for a 35 percent share, which Myles happily accepted, eager to embark on their new partnership. Additionally, Dickinson is related to comedian Jack Whitehall, a fact uncovered by Whitehall at a funeral.

Jack, who isn’t related by blood, disclosed a surprising family tie to David’s spouse Lorné, who he’s been married to for over half a century. The revelation came during a 2020 stint on The Jonathan Ross Show, where a clearly perplexed Jack divulged: “[David is] married to one of my second cousins. I saw him at a funeral, over the other side of the grave.”
