The Princess of Wales’ younger sister has jetted off for a ski break during the Easter holidays with her children, Arthur, Grace and Rose

hile the Prince and Princess of Wales joined members of the royal family at St George’s Chapel for an Easter Sunday service last week, Kate’s younger sister jetted off for a private ski break.

As reported in the Mail on Sunday, Pippa Middleton, 42, was spotted on the slopes of the French Alps as she enjoyed time away with her husband, hedge fund manager James Matthews, and their three children, Arthur, seven, Grace and Rose.

The trip, which saw Pippa help her daughters navigate the snowy terrain in full ski gear, came amid Arthur’s Easter holiday break from school. The family of five reportedly stayed in a luxury chalet, while matriarch Pippa styled it out in ski goggles by Oakley and bright red salopettes.

Pippa looked perfectly at home on the slopes. Indeed, ski holidays were a fixture of her childhood with sister Kate, brother James, 38, and parents Carole and Michael Middleton.

The Middleton family would regularly take Alpine breaks in France and Switzerland, with James telling The Sunday Times in 2025: “Holidays tended to be packing up the car and driving somewhere.

“My parents, sisters and I would visit different places in the Swiss Alps each summer, such as Les Masses, or we’d go to Avoriaz in France. Dad would find a mountain refuge where we’d have a rather sloppy soup-like meal for tea, but we were so hungry from a day of hiking that it tasted amazing.”

James added: “Then we would fall fast asleep in our bunk — we’d sleep on one long bunk, all five of us — surrounded by other walkers. The next day we’d wake up early, put our walking boots back on and continue our trek, ending up in another village.”

Pippa Middleton’s Easter holiday

Prior to jetting off to France, Pippa and James planned a jam-packed schedule to keep visitors at their Bucklebury Farm deer and safari park in Berkshire busy amid their absence. This included a bunny disco and Easter egg hunts, as well as an arts and crafts workshop every Monday and Friday.

The farm is situated a short drive from Barton Court, Pippa and James’ sprawling family home. The couple purchased the 32-room Georgian mansion in Kintbury for a reported £15 million in 2021, and it features a swimming pool and a tennis court.
