Prince William, Princess Kate holiday in Greece with family aboard Emirati Royal's $450 million superyacht | Today News

The British press has barely covered the trip.

Wondering how Prince William and Kate Middleton have been spending the summer—aside from showing up to the occasional event and looking posh? Apparently, they took a secret vacation on board a £40 million superyacht off the coast of Greece. And it’s been kept almost entirely under-the-radar until now (honestly, even the reporting that does exist is a little murky).

According to the Daily Mail, stories began popping up in Greek media around July 19 that the Prince and Princess of Wales were “enjoying the largesse of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a prominent member of the UAE royal family.”

The outlet also notes that the story of Will and Kate’s trip was “ignored by the British media” but picked up around the world, with locals and eyewitnesses claiming they were seen.

So…what’s the truth? Per the Daily Mail, the Prince and Princess were were actually on the Almax, “one of the world’s first fuel-cell superyachts which is estimated to be worth £40 million” and is described as a “huge milestone in the future of sustainable boating.”

Prince William and his daughter Princess Charlotte left the trip to watch the Lionesses in the Euros final (which took place in Switzerland), and apparently the entire family is now back in England. So…that’s that on that!
