Old video of Justin Bieber saying he wants to ‘protect’ Billie Eilish from music industry emerges amid Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs fiasco

Amid the buzz around Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’s recent arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, an old video of Justin Beiber opening up about his concern for Billie Eilish is breaking the internet. Combs is currently in federal custody in connection with a series of civil suits alleging sexual assault and physical violence cases from 90s.

The Baby singer, in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in 2020, spoke about Eilish. He breaks down while recounting the pressures he was slapped with after becoming a sensation at 14 years of age. He also says he wanted to protect the Birds of a Feather singer from the music industry. “I just want to protect her. I don’t want her to go through anything I went through. I don’t wish that upon anybody,” Bieber said.

“It was hard for me being that young and being in the industry and not knowing where to turn, and everyone telling me they loved me, and turn their back on you in a second,” Bieber said.

The old video, shared by an X handle @BritMartinez, amassed over two million views. Reacting to it, a user commented, “The facial expressions shows he’s uncomfortable.” Another user wrote, “I don’t listen to much of his music. Nor do I know nearly as much about him as his fans probably do. But as a man, the “I feel violated” clip tells the story.”

“Can’t imagine what Justin has been through and seen since early teens. Very sad to watch – he’s so talented and was essentially fed to the wolves,” a third user said.

Criminal charges against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

The 54-year-old rapper was arrested from a hotel in New York on September 16. Combs has been pressed with charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, and transportation for purposes of prostitution, the BBC News reported. He is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Combs has also been accused of using drugs, violence, and the power of his status to “lure female victims” into sexual acts called “Freak Offs”.
