Part two of Outer Banks season four was released on Nov. 7, and the episodes revealed that one of the Netflix series’ fan-favorite couples is expecting their first baby together.

There’s going to be a new generation of Pogues on the island.

Part two of Outer Banks season four, released on Nov. 7, revealed a pregnancy among the fictional friend group that made fans’ jaws drop.

So, which character has a baby on the way? Sarah Cameron (played by Madelyn Cline) found out she would be welcoming her first child with boyfriend John B Routledge (Chase Stokes) during episode seven of the installment’s final drop.

And considering Sarah is a 19-year-old treasure-hunter who is constantly on the run, some fans weren’t totally sure how to feel about the development.

“Sarah cameron pregnant at 19 she should be in the club,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter) Nov. 7, while another added, “Sarah cameron being pregnant is definitely something lol.”

Others theorized that Sarah will have the support she needs from her boyfriend John B, who she started dating in season one of the Netflix series.

“Me going to sleep peacefully tonight knowing that after almost 4 agonizing weeks i finally know that sarah is 100 [percent] pregnant,” one user wrote on X, “and that they’re going to be the best parents in this world.”

And fans weren’t the only ones excited to watch Sarah and John B’s journey to parenthood. In fact, Jonas Pate—who co-created Outer Banks alongside Shannon Burke and his twin brother Josh Pate, as well as directed the fourth season—shared that both Madelyn and Chase were fans of the shocking storyline.

“They liked it,” Jonas exclusively told E! News. “Maddie really wanted to think it through, hilariously. They take their characters so seriously, almost as if they’re themselves.”

And as for why Sarah’s pregnancy got added into this season? Shannon—who co-wrote the fourth season alongside Josh—felt it was a natural progression for her character and her love story with John B.

“They had been through a lot of different things that can happen in a relationship,” the screenwriter explained to E!. “They had broken up, she had gone back to Topper, they had come back together and now they’re pretty committed It’s almost like the next stage of the thing that could happen.”
